IF you dont have PS2 and HD movies (BR ) appeals to you then the PS3 is the right choice .

You wont be dissapointed .The machine is suberbly built and has tons of multimedia options ,the retrocompatibility with PS1 and PS2 is great ,the online works very well and is totally free and there are some good games out right now ......and then the better is coming of course .

With PS3 and Wii you would have covered most games of the market ,you would only miss some MS games as Halo and Forza 2 .But its better to miss those that to miss Mario ,Final Fantasy ,Metal Gear Solid ,Ratchet and Clank ,Killzone 2 or Smash Bros Brawl .

The name should be PSWii. It rolls of the tongue better.

Yeah but what if Starcraft Ghost I know it got Cancelled but did't they sey they were moving it to Next gen comes out and Ghost was only for Xbox was it not what if it comes out on the 360 alone wait unntil Blizzard says something new about this game I already got a wii but I have not bought my second console yet cause I cannot afford 3 consoles but If blizzard announce this game they have captured me.

i have to wait and see for KILLZONE 2. im really disapointed in the first KILLZONE.

I hope it does battle levels really well, I hate having the feeling of the one man army in a lot of games. Apart from seeing if it's graphics can live up to the trailer, I'm also looking for ambient effects like sounds and everything else around you to make a good battlefield. I may not have liked all the levels in Cal of Duty 2, but playing the D-Day levels (and the Hill ### levels) makes me appreciate what they did with the ambient stuff especially when it comes to playing it on my 5.1 speaker setup.

Shrug, PS2 did have many fun games. I actually owned about 40 before buying a system (A friend of mine left his at my house). I really wouldn't suggest XII, but other's like it a lot. I would suggest some Suikoden(3-5, though 2 is supposedly the greatest RPG ever) though. Wild arms 3/4 aren't awful RPG's, Digital Devil Saga 1/2 are the hardest RPG's I've played that have great music and a nice twisted factor. Breath of Fire 5 was a huge departure for the series, but also quite fun. Dragon Quest VIII is a Dragon Quest game through and through, same experience, but the experience is good. GTA's, Nocturne, there are a plenty of good games to be had on the PS2.

Ps3, well, you're waiting, but if you want Blue Ray, and you want it now, become another Number in the VG Chartz list.

Hey as long as you got the Wii, go for whatever system you want.

PS3 is not bad...but I'm never going to get one unless it's $300 or less.

Seriously it ain't worth the investment. Its first gen player. I did the same mistake with dvd players I bought mine when they come out and compared to a new dvd player it has a shit load of compadibility issues with dvds.


I'm not saying tdon't get a PS3 but dont go justifying its really only 200bux cause the blu-ray player is 400.

I don't care what sony says PS3 to me will always still be for gaming not multimedia and until the price drops and the PSP interface dissapears I shall invest in one.

Congats on the decision, plus if you're gonna hold out till the holidays then you may even get a price cut, it'd be nice if they're able to do it. The PS2 games you listed would be the ones I recommend mostly, also the prince of persia games are good platformers along with ratchet and clank and sly cooper too. Have fun!
