Can we please stop the insanity in this thread or on the whole forum?

It's already clear to anyone but the most blattant fanboys that there's no graphical difference between PS3 and 360 whatsoever. None.

Gametrailers says Killzone, IGN says Gears 2, conclusion: both are very pretty games. Get over it.

I agree. But it at least shuts up those annoying fanboys jumping on the whole Cell bandwagon. The funny thing is they based it on there actual playtests on the games at E3. Not even any mighty PS3 exclusive could beat the best 360 exclusive.

Just proves my point when I said ages ago that there will barely be a difference in graphics on the consoles, I was right.

Sony stated that they currently had used about 80% of the PS3's entire power in their conference with games like KZ2. So if Gears 2 is say using 90% of 360, then at the end of the day they are capable of the same graphics near enough. That should once and for all shut posters like MikeB up, who all along I said was touting Fanboyism.

You do realize that this is based off of one review site right? Ahh thats right, I forgot that IGN gets the final say on what games are good looking and which aren't. lol

i think kz2 looks way better than gow2...
gametrailers agreed with me ign is a xbox fanboy site...but what the heck gow2 stil is quit impressive

KZ2 > Gears 2

Uncharted > Gears 1

 

Gears 2 is so much more impressive than K2 at this point and it would seem IGN agrees.

If you know anything about tech you would know that your statement was false. Killzone has managed to create a complete atmosphere. Gears of war looks good don't get me wrong. I'll even say it looks great, but it doesen't touch killzone 2.

 

@ squiliam .. we all know that many of those games looks better on the ps3 nomatter what their resolution is. Its common knowlage that GTA, BURNOUT Paradise, DMC and oblivion looks better on the ps3. It only seems like you highlighted oblivion though.


In the end as someone else said, it does in many ways come down to personal preference. That's how it's gonna be in the future aswell (i would expect)

 

 Personal preference is right, I've got two PS3s and that comment is just a joke and considering IGN puts Gears 2 on top for this E3 that only cements my belief as a multiplatform owner as well.  K2 looks good, but it doesn't touch Gears 2. See how that works, heh.

Do I really need to post links for the comparisons???? Just use your eyes, it's not hard. I don't intend to get banned or anything, all I did was reply to someone saying:

"And people say that the 360 couldnt do better or keep up with the PS3 in graphics. LOL bu bu bu bu the CELL."

He doesn't have to post links proving his point? Why? I'm assuming because it's all from a visual standpoint (which is the topic of the thread). So all I did was take a different stance from a visual standpoint, showing that, and what most of the gaming community agrees on, that Uncharted looks better than Gears 1, and that KZ2 looks better than Gears 2

You do realize Sqrl warned him in the same exact post he warned you.  And selnor has therefore not only apologized but gone back and edited his post.

Actually I'd say it's split pretty even both ways on who votes for which one. Plenty of people on both sides think that each one is better than the other.

Crysis Warhead would be more like it. But, I haven't seen a destructable environment like the one in KZ2 before, man that game looks hot!

I got both a 360 and PS3 too, but am more impressed with KZ2 at this stage. realise this too, KZ2 comes out in Feb, so there is quite a bit of time to polish it some more. Gears does look sexy too though.

Oh, and anyone who says that these 2 consoles 1st party games are exactly the same in graphics obviously haven't played through these games from both platforms. IMO, Sony clearly has an edge here and it will widen too. M.A.G has been also said to be impossible to run on the 360, so I wonder how it looks.

In the future though, graphics will hit a wall and it will all come down to how the overall game is and most importantly, how FUN. I say, bring these times on!
