You think in 3 years when more people cross over into the "hardcore" Brawl will start having better legs than Mario Kart? I doubt it, but either way, I think Brawl will hit 12 million and MK Wii will hit like 15 or 16 million. Monster sales nonetheless.

It doesn't matter anyway. 

Brawl is obviously not competing with Mario Kart Wii (which is really just two peripherals duct taped together).  Brawl will always be a bastion of solice for the true hardcore gamer and not soccer moms and grandmas.  Brawl is serious about its business and not just a party game fad that will be thrown away in a month.  When the true hardcore audience begins investing in the Wii, Mario Kart Wii copies sold will go way down and Brawl will soar.

Just wait, Mario Kart DD started well but Melee crushed it, and Brawl may even see a price drop and then it'll crush the 100% inferior Mario Kart Wii.  Still as long as long as games like Mario Kart Wii outsell games like Brawl, the video game industry as we know it dies a little bit inside bit by bit.

Crushed? 120k more isn't what I'd call crushed, especially as so many people were dissapointed in MK:DD for some reason (It's way better than MK64 imo) yet few were disapointed in Melee.

MKWii will properly crush Brawl, no doubt about it.... perhaps your post was sarcasm (if so it's Rol-worthy) but do you really think that MKWii currently ahead of, and selling faster than Brawl will be caught up?

Mario Kart has been outselling combined sales of GTA IV for about a month now. At their current rates of sales, MK Wii will overtake GTA in roughly 40 weeks. Of course, the holiday season will make this race even more interesting, and might even decide the victor.

 Mario Kart Wii sold more than GTA IV 360 + GTA IV 360 + GTA IV Ps3 + GTA IV Ps3 last week (or GTA IV Ps360 * 2, if you've finished kindergarden :P). There is seriously close to no change that GTA IV will see a big enough boost to get up to Mario Kart Wii levels.

Currently, the gap is roughly 3.3M. I expect MKWii to average 100K above GTA IV Ps360 (including holiday seasons), leaving it at 1.3M behind by January 1st. What I'm saying, the question isn't will MKWii outsell GTA IV Ps360, but when.
