You're using logic. That's wrong.

You're right. I'm sorry.

Its legal in Vegas and alot of places in Europe. Honestly its gonna happen either way so......
I dont know its not really that big of deal. Just make sure the underage girls stay out as much as possible
Prostitution is the oldest profession and simply isn't going away so why the hell are we continuing to sweep it under the rug? It just doesn't make sense.
The bottom line is that we accomplish nothing by pretending its not happening while we could be protecting the health of clients and prostitutes alike. Not to mention helping to prevent the abuse and violence that occurs in the industry on a daily basis.
"Selling is legal...and fucking is legal...why isn't selling fucking legal?" - George Carlin
I cannot think of a single reason not to legalize and regulate it and frankly I don't see how its anyone's business whether or not someone else is selling sex, especially the government. The most the government should have to say about it is making sure its handled discretely.
Here's the title: "San Fran's next step: Legalized prostitution?"
Here's the first sentence: "Petitioners have succeeded in moving a measure that would effectively decriminalize prostitution in the city of San Francisco to the Nov. 4 ballot."
There is a huge difference between legalizing and decriminalizing.
This was just a stupid inflammatory title to scare people who get scared by this kind of stuff.
Either way, I'm in Oakland. BRING IT ON.
Please don't tell my wife.
While i think prostitution degrades the female form and is a profession women shouldnt move into i-
no wait hang on....
tits and fanny!

Why does everyone assume prostitute=female? Have you never heard of a gigolo? A rent boy?
Edit: Anyone else notice that the OP's sig is about Christianity? Why am I not suprised? =P

HELL YEAH! Go Rubang!
Does someone buying sex adversely affect my personal rights and liberty or defraud me in any way? NO! So why should it be considered a crime if by definition it is not a crime?
However, I do have to disagree with something you said Rath. Claiming that it will reduce incidents of rape is showing a lack of understanding of the psychology behind rape, in particular violent rape. Many feel that rape is done for sexual gratification when in fact the psychosis is much deeper and manic and rapist will continue to prey on waht they perceive are vulnerable victims.
Also I doubt that this will reduce date rape in any way.

It's true. By decriminalizing it, prostitutes can report any crimes caused against them in work situations and don't have to worry about either lying or being investigated in the future fo admitting a rape occured to them while selling sex.
