Forums - Sales - Do you only buy the console that is market leader?

No, I buy as many consoles as I can so i can continue to slap people with my bigger E penis.

How do you follow that statement, o yea, you can't!

OT:  I had all consoles of last generation including a dreamcast.  Before that generation I had an N64 that was passed down from my brother.  Not the Market leader.  Before that SNES and before that NES.  This generation got a Wii at launch and 360 when Halo came out.  No I don't buy only the market leader.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

I just buy Nintendo consoles.

Well one day as they were throwing paper balls at me, i stabbed one of the fat bullys in the eye with a pencil and used his body to manuever through the others as i pelted rocks at them one by one, soon after i threw each and every one of their bodies off a building, and put their heads on staffs, to show the world.

I buy Nintendo because I was brainwashed as a child. Nintendo Power, Virtual Boy, Ultra 64.. it's all swirling around in my little head.

Sega almost had me if they hadn't got all 32x / SegaCD on my ass.

It's also cheap and came with Wii Sports.

um i have owned every market leader, but not since the ps1 has it been my main system. nes, snes, were main systems first purchase, last gen no nintendo for me, this gen ms, and nintendo so far. nintendo was a latter purchase more for my grnadparents than me, but i make it out there to play with them... grandfather has become a badass in tennis and blazing angels wii.

I was given my master system without really knowing much about computer games.

I wanted a SNES but got a mega drive

I wanted an N64 because i could see that it was clearly far more powerful and impressive than the first playstation

I wanted a PS2 because the Psone was so successful and because the N64 was old, and the dreamcast sounded rubbish

I bought a PS3 because i had such a great experience with the PS2

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

^Or do you buy a console based on other factors? Discuss

So people who have a Wii console. I assume you bought a DS, PS2, PS1 and SNES, etc.

Although I am quite happy with my Wii, since getting married I haven't really had any choice; my wife wants to play Mario Party, and I don't have enough time available for video games to justify owning two consoles.

In the past, well...

  • I asked Santa for an Atari, which was the market leader, because I didn't even realise there were other consoles; I was pretty shocked when he got my order wrong and I received an Intellivision
  • I got an NES because it was the market leader in my neighborhood
  • I got an SNES because I loved my NES so much; I wasn't really following such things back then, but I suspect that it was not the market leader yet when I got it
  • I got a GCN (after being a pc gamer for a number of years) because my wife wanted to play Mario Party
  • I bought a DS because I wanted Mario Kart DS
  • I bought a Wii for about a hundred different reasons, but as I stated before, I never really had a choice, so its lucky I love it; also I bought it before it was the market leader

So of the six consoles/handhelds I have owned four of them were market leader at some point (though only two were the market leader when I bought it); but only one console I have owned, the NES, did my choice have any real connection to market status.

depends really...only iof the other system has games I want..

the 360 has DOA wich I need...but: scratching disks..RROD...lol..I pass

as for PS3?....only FFXIIIvs and MGS4 (for now)..wait..and LBP

so no....unlike the cube...they hardly have games I want...let alone buy an entirely new console for

Well i used to be a Sega gamer during the Genesis days (i bought a SNES new at the end of the Gen), then i went to PS1 and 2, now i want to get a wii, everything else i got used.

Nope I bought the DS when it came out and Wii 6 months after it came out....

Former something....

I've owned the market leader consoles up until this generation. This time, my support goes for the losers.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
