Well what I saw from WKC wasn't looking better than Lost Odyssey and I think SO4 will look even better. So let's just wait and see

WKC looks better than LO. LO looks great and all but there were some issues i.e. the characters' hair looked kinda strange sometimes, like it was poorly rendered

 

 

agreed. But what I've seen in screenshots wasn't more impressing than LO IMO. I will quote myself:

At the moment and in the near future xbox 360 is the king in WRPG and JRPG

So you gladly ignore the Wii's rpgs because they don't have the same graphics as the Xbox 360 or the PS3. Right now here is how it goes in terms of number of jrpgs.
360>Wii>PS3
After TGS I expect at least 2-4 announcements for the wii. So I'm going to say.
Wii>360>PS3 That is only if the 360 or ps3 don't get any announced, but they probably will.
Now as for quality, I will say the PS3 and Wii are about equal with the 360 in the lead.(I would have said the wii was equal to the 360, but the 360 has FFXIII). This is my opinion though, and it isn't everybodies. Also my opinion could be easily changed. Now finally I am going to say that all consoles are viable platforms for Jrpgs, and if you own any console, it is a fine choice, and has a decent number of Jrpgs to come. Though handhelds are the true kings of rpgs, especially the ds, and I don't see this changing anytime soon. At the end I see the Wii with the most, but in terms of quality they will all be about equal. This is ignoring Wrpgs though.

Both consoles and handhelds are viable platforms for JRPGs.  PC on the other hand....

There will be no other big budget 3rd party JRPG for HD consoles besides FF because they just won't sell well enough to recoup their dev costs. Take for example, the new tales game on 360 looks like it could've easily been done on the wii, there's nothing exceptional about the graphics. The new disgaea on ps3 looks like a ps2 game. I don't know why they didn't just take the same path as atlus with P4!

Japan plays a HUGE role in JRPG sales, with HD consoles in a coma in Japan, you can fill in the rest...

Apparently the Wii isn't competing! :P But didn't he say "HD JRPG's" in the title anyway?

That is why I said in my first sentence "So you gladly ignore the Wii's rpgs because they don't have the same graphics as the Xbox 360 or the PS3.". I just hate how the wii is always ignored in comparisons, like it isn't even a console.

I'll agree about ToV (they're going to make most of their console Tales on the Wii anyway so 1 HD Tales isn't going to hurt them much. I expect it to sell 500k WW though so it's not bad.) but for Disgaea no way. Disgaea was never about graphics and never will be. You can't expect Disgaea to look like that because it's Disgaea...

I meant he might be ONLY comparing HD JRPGs. He never said the Wii doesn't count, he just didn't add it because he wanted to compare the PS3 and 360.

So why didn't they just release it on ps2 or even wii? HD tales doesn't look HD. Compared to LO, it looks like  ****. M$ probably even subsidized the cost for Namco regardless. I hope it pays off for them!

Do you think so? I'm extremely partial to cell-shading, so maybe that's why, but I think it's a beautiful looking game.
