look at oblivions main story...it wasnt very long...but the rest of the game was huge

Though I would love it, I doubt Fable 2 will be Oblivion long.

Unless they are MASSIVELY exaggerating the side quests etc, I will probably spend 25 hours on my first Fable 2 playthrough.

Yeah im really interested to see how the side quests pan out.

To be honest, I do think it is getting a little silly when you have the option of doing community service once you are arrested, though I am still excited about this game.
My concern is the combat, which does seem a little simplistic

You could get married in the first one, too. Or at least spend the night and buy a house. Regardless, the game was largely forgetable, one of my biggest disappointments of the last generation. I'll give this one a chance, though, if the reviews say its better than the first.

The combat in the first one was what I had a problem with.  It was just...uninteresting.  I liked everything else, but that was the main part of the game.

In my third playthrough, I beat Oblivion in 13 hours. My stats say that I spent a total of 186 hours in that game...
Fable 2 seems ... a lie to me. I don't believe that I will actually play the game in 3 months!!!

That was the Time Testers for the game. Im not sure how long the side quests add tho,

This is a fair comment: I know testers at Nintendo that, before Twilight Princess even came out, could beat the game in about 7 hours (yes, obviously they skipped massive swaths of the game, but it does make the point, I think).
