Then...huh? Then VGChartz is wayyyy off on the sales of either PSP MGS sales or PS3 MGS sales.

Then again its one of the less reliable sites that release statistics on the web. Its Wii sales are off by a few mil and PS3 sales off by 2 mil. 360 sales are almost off by 500k.

well the ps2/xbox/gc gen had more cause more versions were released

Actually, Vgchartz tracks sold figures and not shipped ones. Additonally, if you're referring to NPD figures, Vgchartz tracks the whole Americas (North and South America) whereas NPD only tracks the United States. When you leave out 600 million people, you're bound to have some number discrepancies (in reference to the difference between NPD and Vgchartz).

If they actually have all the numbers, why don't they post each game with their sales numbers, rather than this useless chart.

You really shouldn't make accusations without any presentation of proof.

Looks like Vgchartz is really undertracking portable ops.

Our "Americas" data has MGS: PO and MGS: PO+ at a combined value of 410k, while this USA only chart shows it at around 700k - 800k.

Overall it is quite close though.

Perhaps they are counting Metal Gear Acid in with those numbers.
