No, it'd never work out.

Surfer girl said that there was a prototype of it, and it was in-progress, but Miyamoto or someone didn't like how it was turning out, so it was pwned.

I think the screens are too small for the game, and it'd be too much happening on screen. Also, the game lives and dies from multi-player, so it'd need to have online, and if they couldn't get it right with SSBB online, I wonder how they would get it to work online portably.

Actually the DS>Wii online. Also there are other games similar to SSB on the ds. Like wfz mentioned JUS.

Yeah, the DS can handle a Smash Bros game. It's more powerful than the N64.
It would be great, you could smash anywhere!
