I don't think the two are in that much competition with each other...this is going to be a huge PC game, and PC gamers won't care about Gears, and it's substantially different enough from Gears for 360 gamers as well.

This is my number one most anticipated game of the year.  And yeah, it's not that scary unless you're the one peeking around corners...I've had a number of "OH SHIT" moments in the crappy CS:S zombie mod games...I can't imagine what it's going to be like on a game made just for "OH SHIT" moments.

I don't like games that I can't play offline and solo in at least some form. Call me old fashion. It's a shame if you can't, cause the game looks fantastic, but it's certainly a skip for me at this point, since it appears to actually require 4 players.

You can play it solo with AI teammates, though it's pretty clearly focused on co-op.

You can also play split screen on the 360 version.

However many players aren't playing is how many AI teammates you have.

I worry for 360 gamers.

I'm sure the final product will be kickass, and this game will get you many hours of enjoyment on 360 or PC.

But if you've got a decent PC, I'd highly recommend the PC version of any Valve game, because that's what they'll support the most, and that's where all the custom maps go. I think Valve will do better than they're doing with Orange Box to support the 360, but I'm just throwing that out there...

I agree, but all my buds play 360 online.  And this game is all about you and your buds blowing the **** out of zombies.

If you've got buddies to play with, then stick with 360 then, because that's what the game's all about hehe. All my buddies play on PC.
