Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Could a Barack Obama victory in 2008 increase X360 sales in Others/Japan?

Same as Topic.

Dont actuallly understand why it should.

LOL. I already thought he was overexposed, but Barack Obama: Rockstar in Chief has truly jumped the shark today.

And no, in case you are serious. Which I assume you are.

I don't see why it would...I think it is more of a dislike of MS than of America...

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I think If Barack Obama wins the Presidency, Americans and American products might be SLIGHTLY more well-received around the world. nothing noticeable.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Incredibly funny but I'm still locking it.

-Edit: Oh, now I get it! I thought you were just spoofing other threads and saying that a random occurrence would increase 360 sales, but I see it runs deeper than that. Not that I still think the question is well thought out. Barack Obama may have a chance of increasing America's popularity in the rest of the world, but it won't change much if Microsoft can't offer the games that appeal to PAL/Japan.

Of course not. What kind of relationship are you even trying to draw here haha. Unless he starts branding 360 logos all over his body... then no.

Picard just beamed back for this thread...

Maybe he meant because people associate Microsoft with corporate interests and cutthroat capitalism which are stereotypically American??

I'd have to agree with you though because MS had grown so large it generates its own independent hate.

He is a raciest how would that help american products around the world?
