I agree with Superchunk. I've never had my Wii Freeze (granted, it's only been six weeks). My 360 freezes on an occasional basis. Usually when I press the XBOX Guide button, the frameware for XBL must be really unstable. In general, I do not press the guide button unless it's unavoidable (this has happened to me on all 4 of my 360 consoles.) I've seen my friends PS3 freeze too. My PS2 didn't though. It decided to DRE though :'(

Definitely its oblivions problem. Clear the cache every once in a while (google it) and it'll be fine.
It happens to most people because the game caches too much data which eventually causes a freeze.

Well, I can't connect to the internet right now becuase I need to get that $100 wireless router or about 175 feet of cable to connect it to my high speed internet.
Sounds like its just oblivion. Thats good.

 Its almost definately the game, Oblivion has crashed countless times for me but no other games I play does.

do you have a smaller tv sitting about? cause you could just move the tv and system closer to your internet when you need updates and stuff

I've got about 30 Xbox games and I always patch them on purchase.

Games I've had probs with

Oblivion : Numerous clipping problems. I've actually fallen through the floor a couple of times. Freezing issues. Yep its happened approx 10 times during my 40 hours of play time v annoying but not the consoles fault.

Assassins Creed : Once had a graphics slowdown problem. Happened once. Reboot cured it.

when i had my 360 oblivion it did that to me from time to time, but there was an update patch only a small one it seemd to be fine after that

You can buy an ethernet bridge to do that, price is around 30$.

I was just playing Gears of Wars and then I got that reading disk problem..
