I think it's a perfectly fair exchange, in fact it decidedly leans towards the 360 side of things when you consider both of the PS3 games are ports that have been on the 360 for a year, while the PS3 losses will launch on both systems at once.

That said, I think you're right. PS3 and 360 losing exclusive games benefits all gamers, reduces expensive HD console sales and increases the Wii's overall marketshare.

That said, I still am pretty sure that the 360 library still blows away the PS3's library, even if all those games were already out. There is just a sheer awesome amount of badass games on the 360 that you can't believe until you've had to shop for what you're going to buy next, lol.

It's shocking, but the difference is night and day when you are giddily planning your next 360 game purchases, verses your anticipation list that everyone inevitably makes for their PS3. That text document you keep on your desktop? That's the one. For the 360, that's a "games already out that I want to buy" list, and it pwns.

I always here about the awesome 360 library and there are lots of exclusives I didn't mention but there is nothing that says I want it. I just took a look into the 360 games top20 and Exclusives I didn't mention are

Gears Of War (Somehow the story and protagonist and chainsawing are unconvincing)
Forza Motorsport 2 (I take even a GT prologue over that)
Call of Duty2 (Yippeee)
Saint's row (somehow with GTA4 out thats not so interesting)

The loss of Tekken, while not confirmed, would have been a major blow if it was announced at E3, and it still it, however, since it limped onto the scene with a whimper, it is very likely that the announcement can be better marginalized.

As a Wii lover, I couldn't be happier everytime a HD game has to go multiplat to maxamize profit. It is great for gamers, you're right, but it's also good for the Wii, comparitively, and bad for HD console sales. The Wii isn't losing exclusives. The Wii will have the most exclusives this gen.

Unfortunately most of these are piss poor.

I have a wii and it doesen't relly seem to have any.. mature titles (barely) I don't mind that much, but quantity is not always > quality. Infact it rarely is.

 

No I do not understand what you mean. Consoles are bought because of their gaming library. If one console has a game the other has not it will increase sales relative to the other console.
So if both HD consoles have all games of each other (and other things would be equal) sales would be equal relative to each other.
But loosing an exclusive to another HD console won't increase Wii sales that's just weird. Making all HD games multiplatform enhances the gaming libs of the HD consoles and makes them a better choice relative to the Wii. Nothing else.

(The Wii will still outsell them because of its casual gamer domination but thats a different matter)

What you said is the equivelant of me saying, "The only thing worth playing on the PS3 is MGS4." There is also a couple of other games that are PS3 exclusive, out currently that I would like to or have played, and I have played most of the multiplats on both consoles.

You don't have a 360, so you attempt to marginalize its library. Wrong, can't let you do it. Corrected you.

Okay ? Besides many of those not being 360 exclusive, infact thers a few even on the playstation 2, the rest are old and most not highly rated. If i were to put down a list of games i can play on my ps3 that i think are good and or underrated it would be much longer.(my ps3 has bc) and you even mention marketplace games. I'll add ps1 games and PSN to that.

Hence by your logic the ps3 has a lot more badass games then the 360. Infact almost infinately more.
