Forums - Sales - LOL!!! Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the new World doesn't sell?!?! (false)

..to whoever says it sold badly..take a look at this

http://vgchartz.com/swlaunch.php?reg1=Japan&game1=Tales+of+Symphonia+-+GC&reg2=Japan&game2=Tales+of+Symphonia%3A+Dawn+of+the+New+World+-+Wii&reg3=America&game3=&weeks=100

if you consider that for a second...it didn't sell bad for being a sequal....not at all, since sequals almost never sell as much as the originals..(with a few exceptions)

I think the trolls should wait till it's released state side

and in EU..meh.../rant

This remember me to the SMG=Fail because start slower than SMS in Japan.

I for one, am "chomping at the bit" to get this. Thank god FFIV comes to my town tomorrow.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

true...the first few sales aren't that important..since legs are what ditermine a game..a game with long legs has alot of replay value...

if it only has front loaded sales..it' either niche (so only for the fans) or just not that much fun after those initial weeks...(that's when people sell the game..or borrow it to a friend..and forget it..and he borrows it to someone else..etc etc...so the game doesn't sell)

Only negative aspect that people have is that the Wiis installer base is much bigger than Gamecube..

My opinion is that it is selling pretty well.

Only Talesboys buy the Wii? =)) ==) =)=)=====)))))))

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Its just that expectations were higher b/c there are WAY more Wiis in the GC.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

Lets wait a few weeks and see if this games can sell a couple more weeks of 10,000+. I really want it to break 300,000.

It really depends on the type of game, and in most cases games have very short legs in Japan.  Take the Dragon Quest games for instance.  Huge franchise, huge first week sales, but it drops quickly because in a couple weeks the used games market is flooded with copies.  On the other hand wii fit is the type of game that unless you just don't like it, you won't sell it.  Same with Monster Hunter to a degree since you can continue getting new gear and fighting stronger monsters.

Honestly I can't see TOS having particularly strong legs.
