No, that would alter the feeling and atmosphere of the game. Aeris was ment to die, and her tragic death is, as ironic as it sounds, one of the great things of FFVII. And I don´t remember Squaresoft ever saying clearly or at all, that they planned to allow you to resurrect Aeris. But I might have missed an interview somewhere in the last 11 years. There have always been a lot of rumors and theories about that though.

Even though I won't buy the game if it is FF:VII or any FF title, I would love to see it happen after all the 360 rants on how they stole the show at E3 for a multi-plat game. Plus it would sell systems

FF7 remake rumors have been lurking in dark places on the Internet almost since the game released; from time to time they surface to take in the gullible who want to believe, like doomsday cults.

Unless SE announces it at least a month away from April Fools in both directions, no. No sale, not biting, not happening.
