Actually I was learning for the first time about Mexican numbers being included in NA? I didn't know that.

The PS3 is more like 400k there... BKK2 found the latest LTDs and posted them somewhere.
Also what's that NPD figure you have? NPD never gives figures to the unit, they round off to the nearest 100 or 1000.

Yes I just read that quickly on a message board, my fault  :D

But even with the canadian numbers reported here there's still a big difference NPDvsVGZ between PS3 and 360.

I was reading about the fact the numbers from Mexic are added in NA, I didn't know anything about it and then the thread disappeared :D

The numbers I've seen had the PS3 at 342,400 through January '08.  Obviously higher now, buy not 700k.

As for the locks, maybe just saving face after stuff like "We do NOT adjust the numbers based on NPD reports (never have, never will)."

It was probably locked because he read the number "on a message board". In otherwords completly unsubstantiated data.
