Forums - Microsoft - Why does my 360 controller keep flashing at me?

It is in regards to the power pack.

it signals your battery is low, 2 bars is considered low battery

Okay, it should be running out of battery, as I am certain I have been playing for 40 hours. I assume something will come on screen when it does die?

With my controllers it'll usually start kicking out every ten minutes once the battery gets really low. It can still be played by pressing the guide button again, but that's when you know it needs changing. I've never gotten down to zero battery, so I don't know what would happen, but I assume the controller just wouldn't turn back on.

It is hungry, feed it more batteries.

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

1 word: RTFA

The console autopauses games whenever the controller shuts off, just keep playing with some spare AA nearby.

i got a similar problem with my 360 controller, and no its not the battery. It simply wont hook up to the 360.

I agree with the low battery theory ^^

Maybe you have an other malfunction on your controller

probably, the lights are just blinking for hours and nothing happens.

1) The flashing lights, if anything, that you have a low-er battery, no biggie (mine does it all the time).

2) If your light is flashing, and your controller hasn't connected to your Xbox 360, you need to re-sync the controller to the Xbox. There's a smaller button on top of the 360 (near the battery compartment). Press that, and then press the button on the X360 faceplate, that has the little wireless icon.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

You need to re-synch the controller. There's a button on the controller that you must hit at the same time you do something else on the console. The procedure is detailed on the manual.

edit: damn you, mrstickball.

Still working fine, but it is down to 1 bar, so it must be low battery
