Forums - Sony - Killzone hype/expectations explained.

Halo3 will suck alot

No, but according to many people having access to the Beta the game seems well below expectations. IMO peope should wait until the Killzone beta arrives before pre-emptively shooting down this enormous effort.

it will be the worst game ever.
it will be the death of PS3.
people will stop buying ps3 and begin buying x360.
people will be glad to buy new x360 every year(after x360 die), because ps3 is dead.
people will be glad to pay over 100$(why not, pay more for nextgen) for live! per year, because ps3 is dead.
x360 will deliver pc graphics of 2007 year even in 2009, and people will be glad.
people will buy new x720 in 2010 and pay another 800$, because sony won`t make new consoles.
the gaming will be perfect, because ps3 will die!

muahahaha. =)))

But that's ok, b/c 360ers are really happy with the box! just for you Bodhestva ;)

Guess alot of PS3 games like using Slow motion for added affect then, lol.

It's funny I had a discussion with an in his opion "unbiaded" games "reviewer" (vivid XBox 360 fan actually) who tried to talk down Resistance Fall of Man without having ever played the game! One of the guns in Resistance allows you to slow time (or rather enhance your reaction time), he stated the game suffered from slowdowns based on this he saw from videos. LOL

Motorstorm shows slow motion crashes, but only when you crash yourself, you can see other players crashing in full motion.

Both games run rock solid though.

They put slow motion sequences in games to hide touchy areas for framerate drops. doesn't it strike you as odd so many PS3 games have these slow motion sequences?

Most certainly not in Resistance or Motorstorm. In Resistance you don't have to use that gun, you can just as well use a more performance demanding weapon. It's just a sniper rifle which isn't by far as demanding as for example the rocket launcher, dubbed the LAARK in Resistance.

Another funny comment from the reviewer who never played the game was that Resistance is plagued by bugs as one of the guns, a sort of plasma gun, allows you to shoot through walls.... So much for Insomniac trying to be original! LOL

In Motorstorm like I said opponents will crash in full force and motion, the slow motion is actually meant to wow people as you can pause the crash and rotate the view from various angles.

The commercial shows numerous slow motion sequences for Motostorm, I guess that isn't the case though if you say it isn't. The fact this happens in any PS3 games is somewhat concerning though as it suggests either poor programing or more worrisome, the PS3 being already near its ceiling of potential.

Is that concern I see in your words? Was this discussion solely about Motorstorm, or was it PS3 games in general? Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm not. Only time will tell. :)

I heard somewhere that crytek is thinking of porting crysis on the ps3 is that possible? The 360 cant handel it but the ps3 can? but if killzone comes out with a higher rating than halo 3 when can just say sony won A BIG BIG VICTORY.
