The PS2 outsold the 360 and PS3worldwide last year.

It is currently 300k behind the 360 worldwide so far this year.  If the price drops to $99, as many people expect, it might outsell the 360 again.

I see the PS2 lasting until the PS3/360 drop to a much affordable price.  ($199)  For the PS3, that might not be until 2010.

Sony should make a deal that anyone who buys a PS2 this fall and on gets a cupon type deal in the Ps2 package to get $50 off a PS3 since Sony will no longer be supporting PS2 B/C in the new 80Gb this fall

its hard to say, it outsold the ps3 and 360 last year and isnt far behind the 360 this year.

Well, considering that EA is coming out with Madden 09 for the Xbox (the original Xbox), I would say that software could continue for a couple of years after production.

So its 50-50 on seeing Madden 14 on the PS2.

This means I think the PS2 will be phased out in 2011.

PS1 died in 2006, so PS2 should die in 2011-12. Don't expect it sooner.
