Yea, I think some guy from Sony said that they were hoping for a Spring 2009 release or something. The game could be a lot farther along than most of us think. After all, I don't think Zipper Interactive has done anything since SOCOM: Combined Assault which was released almost 2 years ago.

Its good to see them already this far in development, though they have already had about 2 years working on it

he does however say "way off in the future" right before he talks about MAG

Like I said in another thread, Zipper's last game came out in November 2006.  They have had plenty of time to work on this.

In this intervju they say release is in 2009.

MAG has possibly the ability to redefine online gaming on consoles.

i believe MAG to be akin to warhawk in terms of grafix although it may well definatly exceed it. so 256 players online will be no problem for playstation 3 if they have thought it out right.

at only $399 and £299 with a new 80 gig model this fall, the ps3 is extremly good value for money.

i think theyre beta testing the online/servers not really the beta of the game
