people are giving them back :) JK this sort of thing will happen when you make predictions, it´s not much really and this way I get to make a new 10mil thread without Ben closing it down again :) he´s the man but the good kind

lol.

And seriously people...it's not that big of a deal. It only seems like a big deal to some of you because 10.00 million was such a nice number. 9.99 million is not far off, so get over it.

10 Million IS a big deal because Peter Moore got up on a stage in front of the whole industry and made a big song and dance about how selling 10 million systems first means you win. It wasn't anyone but Microsoft who got us obsessed with this figure. Of course they'll still make 10 million first by every estimate, but hey, the shareholders won't be best pleased.

I wonder if Microsoft will fall below the forecasted 12 million units (sold-to-retail) by June. Probably.

Unlikely. All they have to do is ship 1 million in 3 months (forecast is actually for end June).

While they only shipped 500k last quarter, that was after they overshipped to hit 10m. Things should be correcting now, and in any normal quarter MS easily ships 1.5m 360's. So even if they're still correcting somewhat, 1m in April-May-June should be in the bag. They

They sold 174k+155k in April/May NPD= 329k, june = 5 week, conservatively, 200k, so ~530k in USA in quarter. ~40k Japan (slight bump for trusty etc), 30k Canada, say conservativly 100k/month in Europe,=900k, they can either round up ~1 million or ship 33k/month to rest of world perhaps

Hardcore gaming is a bubble economy blown up by Microsoft's $7 $6 billion losses.

i still dont think the 360 has sold 10mill, i dont trust microsoft anymore

You know, its kind of a mystery to me: Allegedly the 360 has a failure rate anywhere from 5% to 20%, and I just wonder how much these numbers are reflected in the total?

 For the 1millionth time...

MS replaces the broken 360's via mail directly. No-one has had to go out and repurchase a 360. Thus, the increadibly high defect rate has had no impact on the sales. The 10m estimate sold is original sales not replacements.

The numbers on this site arent affected by microsofts announcements, largely because they dont reflect sell through to consumers. Otherwise we would have numbers much closer to Nexgenwars.

Sorry but I don't belive the VG-Numbers anymore. I think this weekly sales are just estimates...
@360: They don't belive their own numbres lol^^
The 360 sales are wrong anyway (wii and ps3 too). America numbres too high and other numbers (without europe and australia) are too low!

 Then why are you here?
