Forums - Sony Discussion - Wow, The Video Selection on the PSN is much better than I thought.

MGM is NOT owned by Sony, Sony owns a 20% stake on MGM it's very comparable to Sony's 8.9% share on SE, basically if MGM wanted they could've gone HD DVD exclusive (with the exception of some movies where Columbia is the distributor like Casino Royale).

Around the Network

I need to check out Xam'd.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I cant wait till Sony opens their music store, that will complete Sony's takeover as the entertainment center of the living room.

I really hope you're right about this, I would love a music store, but the problem is you'd have to be able to share the song with at least 3-5 other things. So say I downloaded a song from the store and have it on my ps3, I should be able to transfer it to at least my PSP, my MP3 player and my PC.

Unfortunately Sony has not even hinted at a music store yet AFAIK

psn video sotre looks amazing and much better than the live marketplace video store.

but.............

i say meh to both sonys offering and microsofts offering, they are not value for money.

a purchased bluray or hd-dvd is far better, far more universal, and far more collectable.

"person 1 do you mind if i can borrow cloverfield HD to watch, i will give it you back tomorrow. person 2 erm....... sorry im afraid i cant let you its stored on my ps360"
