I think someone dropped a letter just to spite the Big N.

Well even non game related sites were reporting the price cut a week plus before it even happened.  So naturally the word got around that you should wait until July 13th and get the 360 pro for $50 cheaper.

This is also why it puzzles me that Sony would announce on July 15th that the PS3 starting in September will be sold with an 80GB drive rather than a 40GB drive.  A lot of people will just wait.
