Forums - Gaming - Fable 2 Features

Okay we've seen at E3 great things from Fable 2 like the online co-op, how the dog travels with you, how you can develop relationships, and how crazy they get, like the idea that unprotected sex can get you an std(I'm not making that up). Or a killable guy that follows you around and sings about your exploits.(I'd prefer a mariachi band, but still quite humorous)

But there are a couple of things I'm having a hard time finding that were mentioned much early in development like:

The ability to decorate your house(or houses), Peter said he choose every piece of furniture in a video earlier this year showing off his house in the game, can you do that? I've yet to see any mode that lets you pick a picture and hang it on the wall. I really hope it's in there.

Does co-op allow you to play in someone elses world as yourself? I know you can't bring your dog with you, and I know you can play as some sort of henchman with in a friends world, but what about as your own leveled up character?

Anyway if anyone knows or want to further the topic please post!

Fable 2 will be fantastic, im afraid i dont know anymore about its features though, i only know what i saw in the E3 confrence and whats on the web

You bring your own character into their world.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I remember Molyneux (I think) saying something about being able to import your character into a friend's game, the context being that you could create a henchman if you didn't feel like doing this. Can't remember where I saw this, or I'd link. Sorry.

It does not look like it adds much more beyond the first game in terms of single player, I don't have a Gold account so I could care less for the co-op.

Still either way after playing TLC last month, this is probably my most anticipated game this year.

I just hope there is actually more that they have not revealed it. Having a dog isn't all that great.

Hey, at least they got the whole marriage/family thing going this time, I heard this was supposed to be in the original. Well, the family part really.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

yeah the family element looks cool, its also cool to be able to buy every single property including dungeons within the game. I"m also excited about the xbox live games that will let you transfer money into the game. although the owning house element is really only exciting if you can decorate it otherwise there is not much to it if the game just says you own something and that's it.

The dog looks interesting, it started out for me as a sort of a virtual pet, but now it seems more like an imerseve intruction tool, instead of interface popping up to alert you about enemies and treasure you'll now have a dog to do it, I think it's more immersive and pretty neat, with that said though it's not the most exciting thing.

Wasn't Molyneux's example having someones character join your game, kill your wife and then exit the game?

LOL, I was thinking of a different video, but that was AWESOME. Griefing will be a big part of Fable 2, I think!

Yeah I saw that video but that wasn't Live co-op that was on the same system, and from what I understood that was his character imported as a henchman, meaning not his actuall game charater, but maybe I'm wrong on that. I'm not entirely sure.
