The problem with picking a mascot for the Playstation brand is most of the recognizable mascots are 3rd party creations.

@TheSource, so true. No mascot will replace Crash Bandicoot and his funny commercials during the PS1 era.

What is wrong with having GT as a mascot? GT has more mass market appeal than Mario, Zelda or Halo.

In the PS1 era it was Crash and Spyro. In the PS2 era it was Jak and Ratchet (and Daxter and Clank). They also have Snake and Kratos.

That is the great thing about the Playstation brand. You can't sum it up with just one or two characters.
