Forums - Microsoft - Halo 4 to Push Multiplayer/Co-op Boundaries Even Further!

The hate is strong in here! I can't believe how much people actually hate on Halo for no apparent reason.

On topic, it's Bungie we're talking about here. They did a remarkable job with Halo 3. People thought Halo 2 was played so much because there was nothing else on Xbox, therefore Halo 3 would die out quickly. These people probably never really played the game. They have added so much to the game since it launched I was lost for a while when I played it the other day. I mean the feature set dwarfs Halo 2 in multiplayer and that's why people still play it.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

I wasn't impressed with Resistance 2.  That big monster battle was not very good.  The thing was incredibly slow and seemed to just look at you.  It picked you up a couple of times and you shoot it in the mouth and it puts you down.  Really lame.  I was, however, impressed with KZ 2.  The graphics looks great and the shooting looked great too.

I don't get it... wasn't Halo 3 the last in the story? MILK, MILK, MILK.

What u should be debating over is that all the other franchises that came out within those 7 or so years, weren't shooters. Halo is!

What shooters have had 5 sequels come out within 7 years?

Won't this kill off the franchise, like Quake and UT?

Playing and finishing games first>>>>>>>>>>Then talking!

Opinions are subjective and just like moods, can change.

TOP 12: Deus Ex, Shadow Man, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturn, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Metroid Prime, Zelda (series), Uncharted (series), FF Tactics, Persona (series), Demons Souls, Vagrant Story.

MOST WANTED: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Last Guardian, ICO/Shadow OTC HD

The tagline was Finish the Fight.  If you actually played the game and beat it,  you would know otherwise.

@the 5 sequels in 7 years:  Call of Duty says Hi.  Plus Halo has only had 3 games in 7 years.  Halo CE launched in 2001.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

Arguably, the best shooter series ever made is HalfLife. The reason Halo is popular is cause of the "pick up and play style", mind u though, Halo is very good, but not the best. The best shooter for me still though, is Deus-Ex. It had an amazing story, multiple endings, good or evil play and was the first shooter to have RPG elements. I want more like this.

So, at the end of the day, Halo is just another shooter for me in a big shooter pile.

Bungie= quality. They listen to the community, refine the product and give the Halo fans what they want and more.
As long as the quality stays high I say grab a bucket, warm your hands and milk..milk...milk!

Call of Duty?

  1. Call of Duty 1 (2003)
  2. Call of Duty: United Offensive (2004)
  3. Call of Duty: Finest Hour (2005)
  4. Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (2005)
  5. Call of Duty 2 (2005)
  6. Call of Duty 3 (2006)
  7. Call of Duty: Roads to Victory (2007)
  8. Call of Duty 4 (2007)
  9. Call of Duty: World at War (2008)

And BF has already been mentioned. Halo isn't doing anything else that hasn't been done. Unlike CoD, Halo has sold better, too. Not every high-selling series gets 4 games in 7 years, I agree. However, it's not new territory for the FPS industry.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
