Animal Crossing isn't hardcore, despite what Regginator thinks. GTA DS, we could honestly care less, because I don't really see any excitement for it. That's not the "hard/core" game we really want.

Honestly, I don't want ANY new Mario or Zelda game for another year. Especially Zelda, we can hold off on that. Galaxy is still kinda new and we don't need any new Mario stuff. We need "new" games and franchises. Captain Rainbow ( O_o), Disaster: Day of Crisis, stuff like that. As for Kid Icarus, I'm starting to think it's all a big bunch of speculation and we won't see anything of it for a long time, not 1 announcement.

Reggie came off sounding really dumb on this, thinking only 1 game would please the "hard/core".

I know Animal Crossing was never a visual feast to begin with, but do the characters have to have jaggies? In that picture above, look at the pool stick. The Miis only have jaggies when zoomed in. They could just make AC a little cleaner by fixing the jaggies, that's all that I care about.

So Animal Crossing isn't a core game?

Core != Hardcore (Core does not mean Hardcore)

When the term core is used it represents the boiling pot of the established install base. In otherwords it includes our beloved casual gamers, hardcore don't speak for the Core as the Core let's money speak for them.

Well graphics wise, Animal Crossing is suppose to look like a Video Game, not a real look. Cartoony is its style, which looks great if pulled off right.

And the 'jaggies' want look so bad on your TV, use the internet channel and zoom in on that picture.
Doesn't look as bad, though could look bleh on an HDTV.



 

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

Animal Crossing doesn't look fine for the record. I mean it may not affect the gameplay, but they certainly haven't gone the extra mile.
