Forums - Nintendo - Who is excited for a Kingdom Hearts game with Motion Plus?

@Soriku
Wikipedia clearly states that both companies publish the game together. SE and Beuna Vista Studios(aka Disney, now known as Disney Interactive).

BV members being in the credits hold little ground when compared to the hundreds of SE employees who have worked on it.

LMAO Forevercloud are you really 19? Soriku owned you with cold hard facts and you still hold true to whatever crazy logic you hold dear.

Being developed and published by SE would mean they have rights to the individual games of KH1 and KH2 along with Disney, that means NOTHING could happen to those games without both people agreeing on it. But Disney does own the rights to Kingdom Hearts name, characters, and everything that's not Final Fantasy, so if they just so happened to really want to put it on the Wii and SE didn't go along with the idea Disney could take the game to Nintendo ask them to develop it and produce it with Mario characters and it would still have Sora and the gang in it.
You do know you helped forever here. Coming in an insulting, than trying to continue...Yet, you just seemed to help him prove his point.

No I didn't at all, no one seems to understand IP ownership here, ok lets say Disney wanted to make KH1&2 on Wii and basically just a port, SE refuses to go along with it, SE has right to put an end to it, cause they published and developed KH1&2, BUT if Disney wanted to put KH3 on Wii and SE didn't go along with it, Disney could just say OK I don't want you to publish or develop the game, we won't use your FF characters, and then could just go to Nintendo and ask them to make KH3.  Do you finally understand?  Disney owns the IP, Disney AND SE own KH1&2.

Another example is why Goldeneye never went to XBL, Nintendo published Goldeneye meaning they have full rights to the code and that particular game in the James Bond series, they have the right to stop that game, they could not stop something else in the James Bond series, or have any right to it.  So to say SE has the right to the KH SERIES is like saying Nintendo could tell everyone to only produce the new James Bond games on Wii, it's completely absurd that any of you would think SE has this right.

What I was saying with that statement was that I would hate to see a GREAT franchise go to the crapper because a few people want it to be on a particular popular system, without thinking about how the game plays. I would hate to see it go the route of Bleach, Umbrella Chronicles, and a few others for the Wii. These are games that had potential to be great yet ruined because developers wanted to ad rediculously executed motion controls.Wiimote is not the end all be all to gaming, adding clunky motion sensing does not remedy a game's gameplay.

I would hate motion sensing so much in the game. Sora does alot of attacks and fast slashes, this would be tiring. I like the original formula, I like controller buttons. I am slim/muscular build, I am not the Wii demographic who needs/wants to get into shape. Heavy movements are not my friend. This constant banter of a KH3 for Wii with motion controls are ruining it in spirit(as the game has not even been anounced yet).

Umbrella Chronicles was just a spin-off, it was certainly no RE5. If we're assuming the KH team is any good, then look at the better developers that made the Wii-mote transition, with games like Super Mario Galaxy or Metroid Prime 3.

@second bold, what's that about? The Wii demographic are not fat people needing to get into shape - I myself am the furthest thing from fat, and I'm sure most of the 2+ million in Japan that bought Wii Fit are similar. Gamers preferring motion control has to do with preference, not because they need a workout. I doubt there will be many moms playing any KH that comes on the Wii.

Anyway, I understand you might dislike motion control. Still, have you tried any of the better games for the Wii? Something like No More Heroes?  Not all games simply tack-on motion control like Zelda:TP did. We've been saying the game doesn't require mapping all attacks to motion, but using it only sparingly (special attacks, spells, or finishers, for example).

No one seems to know how to use motion sensing right with the wii besides Nintendo. I know Tetsuya is good, but he is no witch doctor. He cannot create a fun experience out of thin air when the mechanics of the game do not sit right with the controls. At leasnt not controls I would want to play.

@Second bold comments. I was just saying that I am not a Wii demographic, but I am a Kingdom Hearts Fan. Me and others like me's loyalty lies with KH series and the way it has been played since the begining. I think those that are KH fans and want it on the PS3 out weight the KH fans that want it on the Wii. Plus I feel the PS3 can do more for the game that actually matters. The controls are already near perfect to me, I dont feel they need to change much. All I want is shinier graphics and a gynormous game that will take me 400hrs to beat. PS3 can give me that while the Wii cannot. The wii can only alter the way it is played while the PS3 can do that and more. And if the motion sensing is going to be subtle in the game, in that case it could probably use the PS3's sixaxis functionality.

Yeah you did(bold).Removing SE would mean the game no longer is KH, correct? Secondly, why are you talking about a game that doesn't exist? You have no rights to determine that KH 3 won't be developed and published by SE.

Like you said, Goldeneye was published  by Nintendo, meaning they paid for the game for christ sake. Of course they get the say so of where that particular game can go. Yet GoldenEye is a liscense game, built off of another established property. Kingdom Hearts is a brand new IP between two companies that has already established characters and settings within the game. If the particular agreement in which the KH series is to change with the next installment then yes, it can go anywhere Disney wants. Yet as it stands it is a 50/50 split. The FF characters are just as much invested into KH lore as the Disney ones are. The main characters (Sora, Riku, Kairi, etc) are owned by Disney but Designed by Nomura. What would happen without him? The story simply could not go on. The story is within his head and nowhere else. He makes the characters that drive the plot. How can a game continue without that?

At the time Rare was owned by Nintendo, it was published by Nintendo, and licensed by Nintendo, but Nintendo doesn't own the rights to the 007 IP.  Again you don't seem to understand IPs, the IP is owned by Disney, SE published and developed KH1&2 which means they have their rights in what happens to ONLY KH1&2 not KH3 and predevelopmental state means everything is controlled by Disney, they decide what they want for the game, what console the game goes on, and they decide who they want to develop it in this process, SE being the developer could give their feedback usually where they want the game to go but Disney has the final word cause they could tell SE to screw off if they wanted.

And removing SE from KH would still leave KH minus FF characters, which were only side characters, you'd still have Organization XIII, Sora, Riku, the worlds, etc. the only thing you'd be missing is a few side characters that only have a minor part in the story.  If you really wanted to get into hypotheticals MS could very well develop and publish KH3 and use Master Chief in it, and it would mean MS has it's part of the rights to KH3 then.  So again Disney is the ultimate say in the series of KH, the developer and publisher has it's say, but the developer and publisher could change if push came to shove, and Disney just 100% drop SE if SE didn't want to go along with Disneys ideas.

even disney have salute his great mind calling him a genious.

if not develop by square its not kh.

it won't continue to the kh story since the guy that know how it will end its nomura.
