Forums - Microsoft - Now Microsoft has won E3, will they get a Sony-like boost?

the clearance sale will help them a bit

I had no idea multi-platform games raised sales for a single console.

Good thing I learned that today.

And basically, what Dallinor said.

Also we're talking about games far from release. IU comes out in September, Last Remnant at the end of the year, and SO4 and FFXIII don't even have release dates. I should also remind everyone that IU is an unproven franchise, and Last Remnant is coming to the PS3 though later. So all 360 has until December is an New IP RPG.

/thread?

I really don't think Sony got a boost because of their E3 performance. It was mainly due to the changing SKU that acted as a price drop. So yes I expect some kind of boost, but it'll be solely in NA and due to the price drop.

They can. Once you you an overwhelming edge (in terms of objective factors such as amount of games, exclusives, sales..) in a genre, people that enjoy that genre are likely to by that console over the other (FPS on x360). With FFXIII going multi. It's very likely that fans of JRPG, and RPG to an extent, will likely buy x360 over ps3.

I think Starcraft nailed it on the nail

What E3 conference crashed Neogaf and Vgchartz??

It wasn't Nintendo's or Sony's... Its a clear sign that MS's conference knocked the world  hardcore gaming community upside down.

If your not a hardcore gamer chances are you won't even know what E3 is .

Exactly.  So to win E3 you only need to win the perceptions of the hardcore gaming crowd..........

If you're one of the many people that believes the Xbox 360 has a better library but were being held off by a single exclusives? Yes, that exclusive going multiplatform leads those people to contribute to a sales rise.

In the world of E3 "wins" and "losses" everything is opinion.  Hell its like that in all of video games, otherwise why have forums?  It just so happens that in this case overwhelming majority opinion is that MS won E3, regardless of whether this was due to one announcement.
