And ahh... that's it??! Where's all their other games?? There had better be (a lot) more games or this is a return to the dearth of games the GC suffered and died from.

That isn't it. Nintendo has other games coming out this year. I made this topic to discuss the four games announced or unveiled at the conference. Everything else, like Wario Land Shake, Captain Rainbow, Mario Sluggers, Disaster: Day of Crisis and Kirby Super Ultra Deluxe we're all previously announced before E3. What's funny is, those are the four games that most excite me outside of Wii Sports Resort and those are the ones that get shafted. Oh except Mario baseball, I'm not interested in that whatsoever.

Not really. Mario Sluggers is out soon and Wario Shake in September (I believe). No other Wii games have been officially announced for this year. So I'm guessing we have nothing in August, Wario in September, AC in October, Wii Music in late November and that's the year for Wii. Whee....

Edit: Well, considering Nintendo usually puts out a Wii game about every 5 weeks this is likely all the games for '08 and not actually a 'dearth' of games as I mentioned.  Just a lack of games I'm interested in.   Sorry if I sidetracked the thread.

In short:

Music: Bust.

Wii Sports Resort: Pretty damn cool. Want to see more sports.

Pokemon: I think you meant GTA CTW.

AC: Would have been perfect if mic was included. Possibly the ultimate girlfriend game.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

Not really big on any of the games. WS: R looks ok, the rest not so much.

1. Wii Music- Very concerned about him saying there is nothing to do, But he said there was more complex modes and even a tutorial, Why would we need a Tutorial on a button basher, Could it be like the new EA games with Casual and Hardcore controls
My Interest Factor 1/10

2. Wii Sports Resort w/Wii Motion Plus- Fencing was the only game that looked good, Hopefully there is more than 5 games in this one as 2 that were shown were pathetic, Wii Motion Plus however looks good
My Interest Factor 3/10 Wii Sports 2
My Interest Factor 9/10 Wii Motion +

3. Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia- Just tried out the Mystery Dungeon game and its not bad, but Im not a big Pokemon fan so think I will just pick up the next new main series game for now
My Interest Factor 1/10

4. Animal Crossing: City Folks- Voice chat doesnt interest me, The City seems to be things that were already in the game apart from the Auction House, If there is no new daily activitys in this I can safely say this is another pass for me.
My Interest Factor 3/10

Animal Crossing: Not my kind of game

wii music : Looks completley crap

Wii sports resort: Meh, need to see more

Pokemon Ranger: Not interested

Will get them all exept Pokemon.

Animal Crossing is a favorite . I love the city addition, the Mii faces and the Chat.
Wii Music I want to give it a try, don't think it will be just 'random' waving of the WiiMote...
WiiSportsResort a must-have, especially when it arrives with the new MotionPlus.

As for the Zeldas and Marios we all want so desperately, I think they're on the way.
Nintendo simply chose to showcase other things.
