Forums - Nintendo - Stop Complaining.

Yeah, sure there'll be core games, but the problem is that Nintendo didn't address the core market at all during their entire conference, only "Mario and Zeld teams are working on new games"...that's it... so understandably they feel left out...they could've devoted at least 1 minute.

Yes, they're coming, but like Montana said, it definitely shows where their priorities lie...though, business wise, who can blame Nintendo for that?...but the "they're coming" line doesn't stop people from being mad, and understandably so.

15? Heh, ok. Name those, perhaps I'll feel differently.

Yeah, they will announce them eventually, and they hinted at future games from the Mario and Zelda team. We all know those are coming, but the fact that there isn't an announcement yet means they are probably very far away.Q

Quantum OF Solace(because of controls)

Call Of Duty 5( same as above, might get the pc version though)

Sam & Max season 1( never played the pc version)

Skate It( not me but my brother wants it)

Mushroom Men

Wario Land Shake It

Castlevania Judgement

Star Wars the Force Unleashed

Star Wars the Clone Wars

Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World

Animal Crossing City Folk

Sonic Unleashed( Depends on which version I like more, but I might get both since the wii version is supposedly more 2d)

De BLob

Deadly Creatures

Actually Just short of 15, but there are many I'm on the fence about getting, and there are some games that have yet to have release dates.

Ah, fair enough. A lot of those games I'm more looking forward to on PS3 (CoD5, Skate, Star Wars, Sonic, Quantum). Sam and Max: why not just get PC version?

I suppose if you don't have an HD console more of those games would appeal to you, but that's not a great list, imo. Did De Blob or Deadly Creatures show at E3? I probably need to check the other Nintendo pages or some other site...

I wasn't expecting Nintendo to focus on hardcore much, but at least last year they mentioned Brawl and Kart. This year all they did was say the Mario and Zelda teams are working on something, but unless they got fired that's fairly obvious.

I also own both hd consoles, but would be getting the wii versions due to preference. As for sam and max, I am just going to get the wii vesrion just to add to sales, and its being ported. De Blob and Deadly Creatures were both shown heavily before E3, and should also be shown at E3. E3 isn't as big as it use to be, and that is why I beleive we haven't seen too much from anybody this year. Oh and Skate it is exclusive to the wii, and so is star wars clone wars . The wii verision of sonic unleashed is suppose to focus more on 2d so I could see me getting both versions.

Yeah, technically "Skate It" is exclusive but it's a spinoff of "Skate" so I'm not seeing a major difference there. You could say NCAA Football 09 All Play is exclusive, too, but...
Clone Wars is most likely a bad licensed port, but I guess we'll see. Force Unleashed is hopefully good because I want to like the story.

I find it odd that you would prefer some of those games on Wii, but to each his own, I guess.

Everyone was looking to E3 to see what Nintendo would do to fill in a gap in quality titles since they have blown most of their biggest franchises already. The answer was little to nothing. E3 is the biggest conference of the year so saying it isn't as big as it used to be is a hollow excuse. It's not as big because so much leaks beforehand, but Nintendo, we all thought, was just closely guarding their secrets when in fact they had nothing to show.

@Windbane The main difference is that it uses the balance board.
I guess we will have to wait and see if nintendo is going to show anything else for the holiday season.

If Nintendo normally announced core games at E3, I would agree, but they tend to spread out their announcements. They had a great announcement with Twilight Princess in 2004, but it was delayed. And it didn't help the GC. So why bother with just giving out shocking announcements at E3, when they can just focus on selling the games and systems?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Yeah, it uses the board...just like other sports games use the Wiimote. That doesn't always make it better.

We'll see, but if they had barely anything to show at E3, I'd be shocked if they were far enough in development for anything to release it this year.

E3 is NOT the biggest conference anymore. The turnout for GDC both last year and this year was by far larger. Since E3 was changed, people chose different events to show their guns off at. Need I mention that Phantom Hourglass was announced for the first time at GDC? A lot of firepower is left for different audiences now. So no, saying that E3 isn't as big is NOT a hollow excuse. E3 is dying. Read why at my article over here: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=33653&start=0

Star Wars Clone Wars is a lightsaber duel game built from the ground up for the Wii.  It is not a port.  It will (hopefully) be the sword fighting game we have all been waiting for on the Wii, and will likely be hyped up pretty big because of that.  It also looks really great.  I can't wait for it to come out.

Also, as those 3rd party games remain in development for the PS3/360, both of those consoles become stronger and therefore those devs need Nintendo and its huge user base less. The waiting game for Nintendo has gotten worse than the PS3 waiting game IMO.

How are the 360 and PS3 becoming stronger? They are losing more and more ground to the Wii, 50 % marketshare only seem to be a matter of when, not if.

Besides, most of the games on PS3/360 are so similar in genre and appeal that they cannibalize each other's sales. Combine that with the neverending chase for better graphics on these systems which means that the development costs stay high and more and more third parties will be forced to rethink their strategy.

Holy crap! A serious post by Mr. Stoppable. Are you trying to change things up Rol? In all seriousness, I am only bringing attention to this post because it is 100% correct. 360 and PS3 are killing each other while Nintendo does there own thing. As you can see, it is working whether you like it or not. As much as everyone complains about Nintendo not having the most powerful hardware and not enough core games how well does everyone think that they would do if they adopted that strategy? Don't get me wrong, I like shooting people as much as the next guy but I also like variety.

yeah, a great list of games coming to Wii!!

there's no reason to complain about Nintendo, they did their job last year, now great 3rd party games are coming, and now they have a chance to sell, since there are no 5 Nintendo games to sell 6 million!!

This list is great, and there are more:

Fatal Frame IV

The Conduit

Marvel Alliance 2

Dead Rising

MadWorld

Tenchu 4

and new Zelda for Wii

- maybe they have no release date, but they are coming!! : )

Some of these may not exactly be great (we'll see), but they're coming.  Also you guys didn't mention:

Disaster: Day of Crisis

Kirby (probably to be revealed at TGS)

Onechanbara

Zombie Massacre

Star Wars Battlefront III

Guitar Hero IV

Brother in Arms: Road to Hill30 (or whatever the new title is--I think they changed it)

Monster Lab

Tales of Symphonia something or other (only out in Japan so far)

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers

Arc Rise Fantasia

Red Steel 2 (my guess, it'll show up at TGS)

....and I know I'm forgetting stuff, too.

Granted, these aren't all coming out this year, but this is just some of the stuff coming up.
