Holiday lineup. How many of those are Holiday games? Lemme help you out. Check your revised list. Now check that list, does that look anywhere near as pormising as the 360 or PS3 list? Outside of the 2 big Nintendo games?

Also, RE: UC doesn't have a release date yet and neither does Soul Calibur Legends. In addition, FF: CC is not likely to come out in the US this year.

I see two great exclusive games that are coming this year: Mario Galaxy and Super Smash. Maybe Nights if Sega doesn't mess it up, but have you seen Sonic lately?

Actually, to me...  I like the wii list better than the PS3 and 360 combined.

RE: UC is supposed to be 2007, although I haven't seen an actual date.  Soul Caliber is November 6.  FF: CC is also suppoed to be 2007 and haven't seen any indication (besides from you just now!) otherwise.  FF: CC was announced in 2005, so it's not like it's a last minute port, and haven't heard any indications of delays...

I'm gonna have to concur with Gballzack, can we please stay on the topic of Dragon Blade? We have an endless number of threads discussing the holiday lineups of the 360, Wii, and PS3. Lets not turn this thread into another one.

So getting back to the actual topic. What is everyone expecting from Dragon Blade gameplay wise? Are hoping for a straight action title or are you hoping for some RPG elements ala DMC and Ninja Gaiden?

It doesn't matter but a few RPG elements couldn't be bad.

And for you discussing the Holiday Line-up

It's brand new just for you.

Like others have said, which list is better is based in tastes. I think Wii list is better than 360, and that PS3 list sucks completely. Others think exactly the opposite. There´s no point arguing about that, you can´t change other peoples minds, and they don´t have to listen to you if they have their choices already. Instead, just wait till Holiday happens, and then we can argue which list had the biggest appeal and why.

Now, about this game, I think its looks promising, nice ideas about the dragon powers, I hope it gets a bit more polished though.

Much better than that Jenga title to say the least. The name is enticing, I would like to see how it turns out.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Maybe its just me, but with some of the action shots in it I am just imagining swinging my remote + nunchuck around like poi, and getting really really excited. Unfortunately, i am pretty sure that would not be good for being able to play the game well, nor am i that secure in the ability of the two to stay together.

Other than that, though, it looks pretty darn fun.

Please, PLEASE do NOT feed the trolls.

Yeah. Publishers dont want to launch their 360 games near Halo 3 either. As for the PS3, it need anything and everything it can get.
BEST HOLIDAY SEASON EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah of course cause you know nothing is coming out this Holiday on 360 or PS3.... have you even looked at the schedule? There are more games to buy on each console than most can afford to purchase:

360 List:

Eternal Sonata

Lost Odyssey

Virtua Fighter 5

Left 4 Dead

Mass Effect

Naruto: Rise of a Ninja

Beautiful Katamari

Splinter Cell: Conviction

Ace Combat 6

PS3 List:

Heavenly Sword

Warhawk

Eye of Judgment

Folklore

Ratchet and Clank: Future

Time Crisis 4

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

360/PS3 List:

Timeshift

Turok

Jericho

The Club

Golden Axe

Devil May Cry 4

Army of Two

Half Life 2: Orange Box

Assassin's Creed

Unreal Tournament 3

GTA IV

Haze

Mercenaries 2

Street Fighter II HD

Both those lists look better and longer than the Wii list for these holidays.

I think he was saying that the PS3 list is slim, Ck, not both, and I'd start counting the releases from late fall, not november. I'd include Halo and Bioshock, for example. The problem with the PS3 list is that it's dominated by 1) new IPs and 2) cross platform titles. The only exclusive major title that's part of a proven franchise there is Ratchet and Clank. As you and I have both agreed, the cross-platform titles such as GTA IV heavily favor the 360's lower price point.

I didn't mention Halo because he mentioned how Halo 3 was coming out and nothing else on 360 and PS3 had nothing or implied it rather. The PS3 list looks better than the Wii list and the 360 list looks better than the PS3 list.

ok ckmlb, bodhesatva and Donwii can we not turn a thread about a specific upcomming game into a pissing contest of whose got the better line up, there are already like sixteen of these damn threads and it does little more than to turn this otherwise worthwhile thread into just another flame war.

 You're right. Thanks GBZ.

Geez. I wasnt even talking about who had the better lineup. Everyone misunderstood what I was saying. I was simplying stating that there are TOO many Great games coming out, hence "BEST HOLIDAY SEASON EVER".

As you can see, ckmlb started the debate, and Bodhesatva continued it. I wasnt even involved.

Yeah I think RPG elements could add a great deal of depth to Dragon Blade. A leveling and item system ala the DS/GBA Castlevania games could do wonders for this game. The game definitely has a lot of potential, I'm gonna keep my eye on it. I am not exciting about it as of yet though. There are plenty of games that have promising premises, its all about the execution. Without gameplay impressions, I don't have enough information to make a reasonable conclusion about Dragon Fire. Especially, since its developer and publisher are fairly new to the industry.

BUMP the good news.

No they don't look good to you because you've already decided you're not getting a Wii, and nothing on it will interest you. It's the same with me and the PS3, as I don't give a crap for any of the PS3 exclusives except for MGS4, and that's almost certain to go multiplat if the PS3 doesn't make a miracle recovery. I'm vaguely interested in new Xbox 360 titles because I have a few friends who own the system and I'm getting it myself some day, but that's about it. Any half-way decent Wii game? OH YES!

That's the way it works. People are excited by games on their own system, but care much less for systems they don't own, or even own but don't like much.

For me there's at least 5 must buy Wii titles this year, so I'm actually happy the third parties are still busy polishing their work. =P
