Forums - Nintendo - Rate Nintendo's E3 Presentation

3/10 That was terribly dissapointing. Only 1 hardcore Nintendo game and it's Animal Craossing. Wii Speak is awesome though...

From a sales perspective, it was a 9/10. We can look forward to another year of Nintendomination. And laugh the moment Wii sports resort outsels both versions of FF13. 3:1.

For me personally? I'll finally pick up an X360, or update my PC. I want more variation in my wii-games, mister!
3 - 10.

4/10 and would be lower if not for AC.

They did exactly what I thought they would.

Exactly what a company who has found a winning formula does. Wash rinse repeat.

7/10 and I give it 5 of those points just for Wii Sports Resort and the 1:1 motions that come with it. I didn't think that would come until next generation.

I'll likely buy Wii Sports Resort, an extra Wii Motion Plus, Wii Music, Samba, and GTA DS.

5/10

It was "ok". Most games that were shown were "ok". Not good, not bad, but "ok".

Man I hate ok.

No Metroid , no Zelda , no Mario ... actually this is I think the first E3 where they attended and they didnt showed any of their old key franchises . Still Wii Music is casual and fun , Animal Crossing looks decent and GTA for the DS was a surprise . Also CoD : WaW looked pretty hot for a multiplatform shooter :o

Still , the way to casual focus for a presentation that is mostly watched by hardcore gamers , was not a good choice IMO .

I will rate it a 5/10 , for at least doing a couple of stuff right ...

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

As a stage show it was pretty lame but I think many are missing the point. It doesn't really matter if they announced any core games at all. They just provided a fantastic tool to build core games around and there are plenty of developers that will respond.

1:1 real time motion - have you really thought about where it could go. This could provide an experience that is as close to being IN the game as is possible. To actually sword fight, or open a door, punch out the bad guy, whatever you can imagine using the same skills and motions that would be required if the game was real.

Comparing a light saber duel with a real time, real motion control to a light saber duel by wiggling your thumbs is like the difference between looking at a centerfold in the magazine and dating her. This is so huge that they could have announced that one thing and walked off the stage "winning" E3 in the process.

I understand Nintendo's focus on bridge titles, but I was at least expecting more support for 3rd party games, and only 3 of them were shown... pretty bad

3/10, a total failure.

Wii Music and Wii Talk: WTF?/10.

It would have been a 5/10 but the new motion control info came out a few days before this.

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

so far for E3 I have this...
