Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo and Sony won't touch Manhunt 2 with AO rating

Ya big investment for the company not to release the game, in some form.

Perhaps they just need to clip a cutscene, or put proper clothes on a model. Often its a fairly minor issue that pushes ratings groups to make a title 'AO' or 'X' (if its a movie).

Its not like the game is a porno. It may well be, hell its even likely, that it would take a fairly small issue to get it back down to M.

Look at the GTA 'hot coffee' incident. Its not like the whole game was a problem, just one scene/mini-game.

There's no question the whole game deserves an M, but the AO content is probably pretty minor.

Okay, now this here is a big reason for homebrew. Where's Gballzack to rip on this sort of censorship, or is that not going to happen because precious Nintendo is also involved?

will you stop with the stupid "oh i bet some person i hate and despise is gonna come in here and start something" crap. truth is Nintendo always has a policy regarding AO games and R* knew that, they were aiming for M rating anyways. this is a problem concerning R* and ESRB-my guess is the R* will appeal first and then change content if the appeal will fail

Pity America is not willing to touch such raitings in the least bit (or is it in all regions?). Oh well. Such is life.

I don't hate or despise Gballzack. I don't hate or despise anyone here, though that does not mean I don't aspire to.

I don't think it's very minor.  I don't think ripping someones balls off, jabbing a pen through someones eye, slitting a stomach open and watching organs pile out is very minor.  I think they are going to have to do some major censoring to get this down to M.

So I'm wrong in wanting Nintendo to have AO raited games? *Shrugs*

they should just release the game on PC and say screw consoles
