X360 will be more profitable than the PS3. But the PS3 should outsell the X360 by over 20 million consoles when the console generation is ended in 3 years time.

Well, the Worldwide weekly sales for the PS3 haven't been behind the 360 sales for seven months, so I don't know what the fuck Microsoft was talking about when they said that.

Far too late? I say PS3 will gain a 1 mil lead in a year and a half, and go up and up from there... that's not too late.

its just marketing claims. i think its less than 6 months ago that ms still said they will be the biggest seller of this generation when everything was allready showing that they have no chance at beating wii.

just wonder how much they payed se to get ff13 to xbox too, or is developement for ff getting that expensive that SE had to decide to release multiplatform to have a chance at better sales.

Everyone makes silly claims. Look at boxers, they all claim they will win. they all boast. Sony and MS do the same. It's expected to boost confidence of themselves and one another. It would be ridiculous if they said, we are doing well, we have made some money but we may lose :s now that would be silly!

exactly, not only that but the ps3 will have a LONG generation, the ps2 was less powerful than the xbox but still stayed on the market 2 years longer. imagine ps3....

+ plus imagine next generation sony's won it already with the blu ray being there proprietary tech, and by then any console without it will be pretty pathetic tech wise
