Hi all,

 So a pack with PS3 and Everybody's Golf 5 is going to be released

 From this french "official" (PSM) link :

it is going to cost :

51.980 (314euros) for the 20GB version

61.980 (374 euros) for the 60GB version

==> a good test if the PS3 is able or not to sell in japan ...

well, im  seriously thinking that this is the last hope for Sony in Japan

and it is amazing to see how cheap is the console there compared to europe

No solid gold PS3? I had my hopes up.

Personally I think EG5 looks awful graphically, 3D anime with realistic backgrounds? Blurgh.
Mind you I have heard its a very popular series in Japan and god knows the Japanese have very different tastes to me, maybe they like that in their graphics.

Oh and they get their PS3's quite cheap o.O Sony trying real hard to win the war in Japan?

Great bundle... argh... why it's so cheap there

I will repeat my prediction - this game will move at least 150k PS3 units and sell more than 500k itself before December.

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Great move by Sony, this will make it more likely for units to move when this game launches in late July.
