In terms of one "OMG" moment, this will be near impossible to top. But in terms of an overall E3, beating MS shouldn't be too hard, as their conference mostly sucked (it began and ended well, though).

Yes a Zelda would be great but it wouldn't have the same impact as a lost exclusivity. I mean, people know that Nintendo would come up with a Zelda eventually but the main franchise games of FF has been on Sony consoles for over 10 years now.

Well, their conference would have to be pretty darn pathetic to be worse than Microsoft's. That was rubbish, luckily they had the FF thing at the end, that saved it. Seriously, if you take that part out, what great stuff we didn't know about already is left? ...

I think it would take a KH3 or Zelda announcement to top MS, and I think Sony just bought itself a ticket to 3rd place with the FFXIII announcement. There is no way to get away from that dissapointment if your sony. Jak and Daxter just won't do it, lol.

I agree. The only thing that would come close is FF XIV Wii exclusive. In the end it doesn`t matter. GTA 4 was the game of the generation and the hot topic on every blog/game media for months. Today it is just meh. Disgaea 3 for the Wii would be a bigger deal for me.

Yes Microsoft conference wasn't good imo as I said in the original post but people will remember the big announcement and not the whole conference. Most people haven't seen the conference and will just read the headlines on IGN, gamespot, etc. This is where MS won. It even crashed this site ;).
