Forums - Gaming - Gamespot reviewers, and not finishing games.

I agree that a majority of games should not be reviewed until they are finished. Games with lots of unlockables should be played at least 80% through, so reviewers can base their reviews on a majority of the content and not just the bare minimum. Also, reviewing a game before you have played every section (puzzle mode, time trials etc.) is just wrong.

If they had any journalistic integrity they would openly admit the amount of game play they had with a game.

Major review sites are just another form of paid advertising these days, Word of mouth is a much better way to gauge how good a game is.

I thought some reviewers get these games in advance.......
They should admit how much time they spent with the game, so that they don't geeralize the entire package based off of their few days with it.

Which is why everyone should buy No More Heroes.

I guess that means Gamespot's numbers might not be 100% reliable, better not listen to them.

I love Gamespot. They are the most unbiased site on the planet. There reviews are stellar. April Fool's.

I see what you did there. ;)

Hehe... I still can't believe their Metroid Prime 3: Corruption review. Apparently, they reviewer couldn't find the ''Advanced'' control setting! I mean, it definitely showed that the reviewer at Gamespot was playing the game on the "Basic" sensitivity and it also showed that the guy didn't finish the game at all. I mean, he didn't even say anything about the ship's interactivity in the game, and they say they have a policy to not review a game unless the reviewer has completely finished its main storyline... Right!

But yeah, that's exactly why I think they should review their policy a bit more. They wouldn't appear biased to me at least, and their reviews would seem to be a little bit more credible than they've been ever since that review (I still can't believe it).

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
