I don't think the mods are too trigger happy with banning, some people get a little heated over a topic once and a while and say a few things that are outside the rules
Banning isn't really a "Coming of Age" rite, but the chances are higher of someone really annoying you the more active you are in the forum.

No, I've never been banned but I lost my old account due to an on going error in the password system.

Most people on this site are in control of their actions enough that they are well aware of when they go overboard and probably expect a warning and/or ban. They just like to take the gamble. Others just don't realize this is what they look like all day:

Silly kid, trolls don't carry money on them.

 

I think the veterans just get bored every once in a while and try to push the envelope a bit.

I haven't been banned, I think I've been warned before, but I wasn't sure if it was an actual warning, dunno.

I tend to aim my abuse at the majority, so I can't be accused of picking on the minority. That's how the most successfull bullies work.
