How are gamers getting "screwed" by this revelation??? I have a hard time believing that a cheaper 360 is somehow bad for consumers even if it is only for a limited time. Then when the supply dries up, you'll be able to get a better 360 for the same price as the old ones. Where do people get off feeling like a huge permanent price drop is their god-given right? If you want a bigger or more permanent cut, then just wait longer or STFU.

I don't think Sony said they were having a clearance sale (we all knew it, but you're average consumer got screwed).

But Microsoft have specifically said "we are bringing a new model out, but if 20GB is all you need you can have it cheap."

I remember someone clearly stating a while ago that "the only reason Ps3 is selling is because people are scared they wont get a BC because they are being discountinued"

It was a well known thing that Sony was introducing the 80 in place of the 60 gig.
