None of those games are bad though.. I can't say the same for killer instinct though.



And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

 Agree, Why no Jetpac, Atic Atac or Alien 8 or one of the other many classics that were not just among the best on the system but probally the best. Also your N64 list is lacking if you want to flame someone include all there games.

These were the games...

Donkey Kong Country 123 (23 basically a rehash of 1)

Banjo KazooieDonkey Kong 64 (Mario 64 collectathon clones)

Perfect DarkGolden Eye (They're the same game basically...Appaling blurry graphics, the pioneer in console deathmatch tomfoolery...but does that make them good?...I got hooked on smoking but that isn't quality)

Killer Instinct (This really was rubbish, characters were all bland, ridiculous combo system...just a bland fighter  with no soul really. Do you remember "Primal Rage"?)

Kameo (Pretty dull if you ask me, nice graphics though...Definately shows strong signs of being one of those launch titles everyone thinks is great on release...Then years later they realise it was actually mediocre and generic)

 

This isn't my opinion, well a couple of lines are. I've elaborated the point a little, can't find the source now...But really, I'm just curious what you guys think. I'm inclined to agree that a lot of them really are over hyped over rate titles that on release got much more credit than they deserved...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they are "rubbish". I really enjoyed DKC 1 on the SNES years ago...But maybe I enjoyed it because everyone else did? I was only 12-13 I think at the time maybe a little younger so...

Opionions?


I liked Donky Kong Country 1 & 2 not so much 3

I never really liked Banjo Kazooie and never played too far into DK64 so can't say anything

Perfect dark and Golden eye I was and still am not into FPS but even I played Goldeneye 007 with friends here and there.

Killer Instinct no soul? NO U! Killer Instinct was pure awesome. If you could freebase the pure awesome that made that game up crack cocaine and heroin would no longer be sold because we'd all be shooting up, snorting or smoking Liquid or Powdered Killer Instinct.

Kamaeo I never played it...

Hmmm.... It just occured to me the only Rare game I didn't care for was Jet Force Gemini. 007 Wasn't the greatest but I loved Perfect Dark. (It's one of like 4 FPS games I own.) So for the most part I'd say you are wrong.



Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

They used to be powerhouses and because of rare games liek Mario 64 were possible!

Nowadays, yes. N64 and back, NO.

They gave us the beauty of Donkey Kong, one of the best and most original fighters in Killer Instinct, made console FPS what it has become in Goldeneye and PD, and made instant other classics like Conker's Bad Fur Day and Jet Force Gemini.

Star Fox Adventures was a hit or miss with many people. And then it was just downhill. They're starting to get better, but its still not the same.

Basically Rare was awesome when they were with Nintendo, but then they lost a lot of their employees and abilities when they were acquired by Microsoft.
