I don't really care if it's not exclusive, but it's understandable some people do. Exclusives are what makes your console stand out. MM9 was a really cool announcement for the Wii and now people are disappointed. Not buying the game is going overboard though.

I'll probably still get it for the Wii, storage space permitting. Retro Mega Man and Nintendo go hand in hand.

That aside, Tekken owns SC hard imo. SC is largely a button masher, compared to Tekken at least.

Though, I've preordered SCIV for my 360.

JRPG's are much better single player games than fighters. Fighters truely shine when other players of said fighter around your skill level are in the same room with you playing the game. Crap is talked, it's a great experience. I love fighters, like Brawl, Tekken, SF, and SC.

That said, for solo play, or if I was on a desert island, I wouldn't take a single fighting game with me, but I would take Persona 3, FFVII, FFVIII, FFTactics, Starcraft, Elite Beat Agents, Guitar Hero 3, and Diablo 2(offline still rocks, trust me). Single player games, ftw.


It's just a different target audience.

I enjoy being "that guy" who is just so much better than everybody else he has to set out of the rotation or he'd dominate the controller.

 

Way to play:

Loser passes the controller.

 

However, I hear from the terrible reviewers and godaweful scum over and 1up that this game is the most unbalanced of the SC series, yoda is OP, and all the old characters got nerfed. Could end up bad, unfortunately.

Without a doubt Tales of Symphonia was better than any fighter I'd ever played(including brawl), but I also hear worrying things about Tales 2 from the Famitsu review, so we'll see.

Namco isn't really taking the Wii seriously... Where is Soul Calibur 4? It sold great on GC and know, we don't get it. We get a crappy spin-off instead.

OT: I couldn't care less if it's exclusive or not as I never had any interest for Mega Man but it's nice to see a retro game. Putting the emphasis on level design rather than flashy graphics seem like the way to go to me.

 

Who cares about Soul Calibur? Wii is getting Tales and other RPGs! Also, I don't see what the problem is? It's not like the Wii one is getting "gimped" or something. At least now more people can enjoy it and talk about it :3 I just hope we don't have a stupid argument on MM9 sales across systems. Stop the damage control, guys. Oh, and Marvelous is taking the Wii seriously as well, tres (Arc Rise Fantasia, Oboro Muraamasa, Rune Factory, etc.).

Well, the Soul Caliber franchise is FAR more important than where the next tales go.
