Forums - PC - First Glimpse of Half Life 2: Episode 3

It's just conceptual art, but it's enough for me.

The official Into The Pixel web site give us our first conceptual look at Half-Life 2: Episode Three with this moody painting of, we assume, protagonist Gordon Freeman facing down the Advisor seen in previous episodes. Obviously, fans of the game know that Gordon has a serious beef with the Advisor following the events of Episode Two, but this hardly seems like a fair fight. Don't bring a crowbar to a telekinesis fight, Gordo.

While unconfirmed — the art is listed under "Half Life EP3" — it may lead to more speculation that the final episode in the Half-Life 2 trilogy will make an appearance at E3 2008. That's been denied by Valve spokesfolk, but you know how they love to twist words.

Potentially good news for consoles owners of the Sony persuasion is that the official Into The Pixel listing tags the game as seeing release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Bigger look after the jump.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

God after episode 2 I really want episode 3 and soon Half-Life 3 :D

Half-life is the most un-episodic content--episodic content I've ever seen.

Isn't the whole point of episodes to come out more than one time per year?

^ The above comment was no dig at valve or anything, but at how long it takes them to put out the new "episodes".

That looks like the citadel. Please tell me I'm not going back in the citadel... been there done that.

Could be the Combine world...how sweet would that be.

Good guess, but I don't want the environments to get stale. That's why ep.1 sucked but ep.2 was awesome.

I highly doubt that. It wouldn't fit in with the mythos or scope of the episodes.

My guess is this is either the citadel, the combine air transfer station, or The Borealis, and in all likelyhood Gordon will be well equipped to fight the advisors, kinda like the strider fight at the end of ep 2.

While the combine homeworld would be cool, I'd much rather Gordon end with some Alyx nookie, hehe.

Also, I hope this episode is the longest of the bunch.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I really want this, the ending of episode 2 was really phenomenal.

It sucks that I have the PS3 three version of the Orange box while episode three will be exclusive for X360 and PC :(.

Noice!
