Leo-J, and Kwaad.  It's a good thing that you aren't a lawyer.  That's the weakest argument I've seen in forever.  Leo-J infamously was proved wrong, and banned for 1.5 months for not owning a Wii, and we all know that Kwaad was BSing with his PS3.

Come prove to me multiple console owners who have unreleneted hate for a console they bought with their money.  I'll save you some time, you won't find people like that.

Disappointment, and unrelented hate are two different things.

Most people who spend money on things research them, try them out, think about the purchase, etc, before spending four or five hundred dollars on something.  If you're going to be spending that amount on something, they make sure that they won't be "disappointed" in something.

People who buy anything, and are "disappointed", or anything like that only have themselves to blame.  Do your research before purchasing something. 

Edit - I'm not saying "you" as in "twesterm", but "you" as in anyone who buys something and are "disappointed".

Yeah well since this happened less than 30 minutes ago I'm assuming you're referring to me. 

My issue with you was simply one of sensationalism. Your point was a legit point for discussion even if it wasn't a valid point, the way you delivered it brought it into trolling territory however, although I admit very lightly so.  The over-use of exclamations is a hallmark of the trolling fanboy, since I didn't remember seeing you post before I'm left with my first impression based on that. I gave you a non-recorded warning (ie a slight nudge to tone it down a bit) which is actually the lightest form of correction possible.

Civil debate on the facts is highly valued, when opinions get mixed in a certain amount of respect should be shown and sensationalizing your response by adding a ton of exclamation marks is certainly neither of those things, particularly as your first response to a mod.

No, ownership of all three consoles is a ridiculous requirement.  Intelligent posters who have shown an ability to stay calm and respectful even when others are not should be required, and it is.   Now, I'm pretty sure you could probably find a situation where almost all of the mods have gotten testy or short with folks(even this is probably rare), but you won't find them openly flaming someone.

If I only had a dollar for every time I heard someone say "I play my PS3/360 all the time while the Wii sits on a shelf collecting dust." Either there are a lot of liars, or a lot of Wii haters that own multiple consoles.

If I have a harsh tone it's got nothing to do with you. It's the topic, which has been brought up every few months since 2006. It's never been a logical argument.

I know a few people that bought a PS3, and then were disappointed with it, just as I know a few people who are disappointed with their Wiis. You can certainly buy a console and be disappointed with it...in fact I'd say there's something wrong with you if you can't pick out a few flaws with your console of choice.

Owning all 3 of the current consoles is in no way a good measure of conduct and fairness. You can own all 3 and still have a favorite, it happens to almost everybody.

I've actually heard much of the latter.  "I have a Wii, and my PS360 collect dust".  I guess it depends on where your allegiances lie.

they are usually lying about owning the wii in the first place. But, I dont think this was about the wii.

Everyone is biased.  We all have our prefences, even those who own all 3 consoles (just ask a former mod named ckmlb).  All that matters is how a moderator moderates, not their opinions on the forums.  When a mod isn't moderating they are just another forum poster.

As a side note, I get paid tomorrow, and will be buying a PS3 on eBay with that money if that makes you feel any better.

A google search doesn't seem to support that hypothesis, but either way, there are plenty of people who claim to own multiple consoles but are biased. Whether they are telling the truth or not I don't know.
