LOL.

Well, Famitsu had total shipment numbers at 200k for ToS. It sold most of the shipment (90% according to y-koron). And you guys are sad? ROFL. What more is there to sell when there's only a couple copies left?

We'll talk once Namco ships more.

It will sell over 250k once they ship more. I love the damage control in this thread from Sony fans.

And people call me pathetic . Common who cares how much it did ? Its pretty much confiremd that it will make a good profit , so why does it matters if it will do 200 or 250k in Japan ?

really wish more would read the first post better.

It says the tales 27k was from the first shipment and the second arrived 3 days ago or something. So really from what we can tell it sold about as much as it could.

Next week we will see how it is doing. Is it gonna sell more next week cause it was needing another shipment? or do all the poeple already have it that want it and it will be about 15k or so like MGS4? we won't know until next week.

It seems the same people who are claiming that MGS4 will be amazing when 80gig bundles come out are the same saying that TOS2 is a flop or done selling.

The Internet is hypocritical. Deal with it. But my point still stands. The game was supply constrained which is why it dropped.

Also, ToS won't be below MGS4 if Namco ships more.

@hunter

I agree...but people here are trolling because apparently they think 200k is "bad" or something and "it won't reach 250k" without taking in the fact that it was supply constrained.

lolz.

So everythings cool cause we're on the internet?  Hypocritical statements are okay.  Maybe you don't know, but the internet is serious business:

Don't believe me, ask this guy:

The fact remains that your post is speculation.  That if they ship more, that they will sell more.  And if the game *only* has 90 percent sell-through, rather than being completely sold out, how much more do you expect it to sell next week when they get more "shipments".

@Soriku

I really don't think that ToS2 dropped due to supply issues; RPGs are very front-loaded games and this one wasn't too loaded to begin with.

In no way disappointing sales and will no doubt make serious profit along with US+EU numbers but to see this game struggle hitting 250k on a 5m+ userbase is nothing sort of disheartening.

Uh...when you have only 10% copies left in a whole country I very much doubt you'll be able to find many copies...

Maybe I'm just speculating...but IMO that seems likely.

Ha...but if you're gonna accuse me...didn't you say MGS4 would sell more in NA ocne they ship more 80 GBs?

ZOMG you're hypocritcal :O But seriously...the whole Internet is hypocritical. Just deal with it.

No.  I said that PS3 sales would stabilize at a higher selling rate per week once the 80 gig came out.  Of course the more 80 gigs get sold, the more MGS4 gets sold, but I never said that MGS4 sales would rise.  The 80 gig is perceived at higher value, and therefore will sell more because people want b/c, DS3, and essentially a "free" game.  We'll see on tuesday (US numbers) if I was right or not.

Soriku, you're digging yourself a major grave here. Rambling on and on about shipment numbers and stuff, if it falls again next week, and the week after, and so on, you're going to be eating some major crow.

Maybe. But like I said, you're speculating the same way I am, so if it goes in my favor you'll be eating crow instead.

I'm not speculating on Tales sales.  Maybe it's constrained, maybe it's not.  I'm reserving judgement until I see it lower sales every week.

I really don't care about the sales.  As long as it's localized, it's cool with me.

But then again...you're saying I'm "speculating." Aren't you doing the same thing? You said it might not be due to supply issues when there is low supply. You're basically doing the same thing I'm doing.

Come again?

OK, you didn't actually SAY it, but you meant it :P You were basically taking the context of DMJ's post and putting it in your own words...

OK, I'm not saying your reasoning is wrong, quite the opposite actually, it's just that the game's sales fit perfectly the norm of most RPG games, at least in Japan. I really hope you're right and the game stays at least at the same level next week although I doubt it.
