Look for Famitsu or Media Create in Japan.... you won't find anything like this for Europe/other though.

Well VGChartz has some kind of data for those territories, I would think it'd be available somewhere on this site and I just can't find it. I thought I'd seen it before but it was some months ago and might've been another site.

Yes VGChartz is the nearest you will find for Europe... but it is incomplete so the Lifetime totals are not anywhere near, for instance a number of people have been claiming the total PS3 software has exceeded X360 software recently, but it isn't true because a lot more of X360's software is missing compared to PS3.
Your best bet to get somewhere near is to ad together the VGCharts totals for Americas and Japan, and then add vague estimates for "others"
My guesses would be that X360 "other" total shown here should be about doubled... while PS3 and Wii multiplied by about 1.2-1.3

I work up the math for this on a regular basis, from VGChartz data. Without the console bundled software, the PS3 always seems to come out #1 for attach rate, and the Wii/360 vie for #2, generally interchanging based on new software releases. If you include Wii Sports, the Wii comes out on top though.
I'd debate that WiiPlay, since its bundled with the spare WiiMote, is not really a 100% participant, but I include it for kicks in my own analysis... without it or WiiSports, the Wii is definately a consistent 3rd place for attach rate.
Mifely, are you doing weekly attach rates there? Because obviously the 360 still trounces the Wii and PS3 in LTD attach rates. I think LTD attach rates -- particularly when you do align launches -- is the most applicable way to calculate attach rates, as the weekly numbers can vary so widely (the week Gears of War 2 comes out, for example, will have the 360 way ahead, while the next week may have the PS3 way ahead if Resistance 2 launches).
Either way, it's really hard to calculate, particularly because of Europe. What we do know is:
Media Create and Famitsu have LTD attach rates as:
1) 360
2) Wii
3) PS3
And NPD has the same ratio of
1) 360
2) Wii
3) PS3
This is true even when we align launches, and try and negate the 360's 1 year advantage, as systems see their attach rate rise the longer they are out. That's not a full worldwide, however, and I strongly suspect the PS3's strongest software arena is Europe: in addition, I largley agree (in part thanks to the release of Metal Gear Solid) that the PS3 has likely been besting its competitors over the last month or so worldwide. Hard to say, though, because again, even Ioi agrees that the European numbers are significantly incomplete at this time.

Yeah, I'm only doing weekly. I'm not really interested in LTD attach, in my own analysis. I'm sure the 360 is awesome from that perspective. I'm surprised that "real" sources find the Wii to have a good attach rate... I rarely see it on top, from week to week, after I discount Wii Sports, and definately not if I even partially discount WiiPlay as well.
I'm more interested in "3rd party interest"... and after I discount 1st party titles, the Wii *really* slumps. The 360 is good though, in that regard -- dare I say "the best". If the 3rd party publishers do a similar analysis to mine, its no wonder that they discount the Wii as being a viable platform for triple-A project budgets. Maybe if/when the Wii hits 55% marketshare, that might change.
Yeah, 360 is definintely the best if firt party software is excluded., with PS3 in second, and Wii way behind the other two.
As to the Wii Play issue, I see both sides of the argument there. I agree in a lot of ways that it's a throw in game with an extra controller; however, it's also one of three games that wouldn't be counted (NPD already does not count Wii Sports, for obvious reasons, and Link's CBT). Thus, I'd argue the absurdity of discounting three very popular, high selling titles; I had a friend who had WIi Sports, Wii Play, and Link's CBT exclusively for about 3 months with his Wii until Smash Brothers came out. If we discount all three games, he literally had an attach rate of zero, even though he had three games to play, and he did play them, regularly.
I personally think Wii Play is an acceptable proxy for all three games, but it really is up to the beholder on that front. I think we'll see the PS3 catch up rapidly to the Wii in attach rate over the last and this month (NPD didn't give attach rates last month, and their release for this month comes in a couple weeks), but with the addition of GTA IV and MGS4, I suspect it's very close now. We'll see.
The 360 will almost unquestionably end up with the highest attach rate, however.

I agree.

I was going to reply with something like this but I tangled up my sentences and couldn't be bothered to restart so I just cancelled the post.
Basically I see Wii Play as a placeholder instead of trying to calculate what the three games might have sold had they just been games (ie Wii Sports as a game on it's own, at about half normal RRP, Wii Play as an "extra budget" title ($10-15) and erm, I didn't really factor LCT into it as I didn't know NPD didn't track it and I don't understand why not in it's case)
