Midway didn't make a casual brand.. I don't think...

I think I'm gonna go ahead and buy my first non-nintendo system, a 360.

Still love the Wii, love it.

But the Orange Box, CoD4, Bioshock, won't be on the Wii :(

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.

But Guitar Hero, Call of Duty, EA Sports, etc. all will. Take heart: stupidity like this can bring a guy down, but despite that things are constantly getting better.

Edit: Found this on Joystiq.

Do you get pissed off when companies try to pass off piss-poor ports as original Wii games?. Well, urine luck! Activision's new "Wee 1st" program is designed to guide a stream of attention to games where the Wii has gone No. 1 in the developer's mind. Games like Little League World Series 2008, Rapala Fishing Frenzy and Dancing with the Stars: Get Your Dance On will be the first to try to make water out of the campaign. The program might seem like a piddling concession to the success of Nintendo's oddly-named system, but it's backed up by a national television and print ad campaign that will begin leaking out this fall. What a relief.

As bod said in the news article this shouldn't blow up into a Ubisoft-esque mess.

GH:WT is coming out on the Wii with DLC. That's some solid effort to try to give Wii owners a solid experience. They aren't releasing Guitar Heroez, a minigame compilation. Frankly I don't mind Activision churning out crap shovelware in its own brand on the Wii. As long as they also support it with quality titles that they are releasing on the HD consoles. CoD4 wasn't on the Wii but IIRC that was moreso because of IW and not Activision. Treyarch is throwing CoD5 on the Wii just like CoD3 was.

And as far as "...Ubisoft then EA" I thought we established a long time ago EA was a solid dev towards the Wii. Their all-play modes dumb it down for casuals but they still include a solid gaming experience for core gamers and games like Madden are being built ground up on the Wii instead of ported from the PS2. Not to mention the other solid games EA has put out like Boom Blox.

Stop hating for the sake of hating. EA and Activision are doing alright as far as core Wii owners are concerned.

Why don't these idiots get it. WE DON'T WANT MORE CRAP!!!! It's not all freaking 'casuals' that own this system, they are really missing out on the majority of the Wii's audience.
