back before the playstation people enjoyed games whether it was on teh genisis or event eh snes both had awesome games and fans of either console respected the other. after sony came into the picture what i call nintendo hate started and sony lovers became bitter and gloating about their psone. degrading anyone else that like any other console. no matter how good the games were. teh ps2 continued the gloating and sadly enough ignorance came into play in alot of the fanboys. if your wondering what im talkin bout is how many ps2's were re bought after the old one died then a second. just bout every ps2 owner had to replace a ps2 once or twice and sometimes three times.

this generation nintendo is back on top and allt he guys that hailed nintendo is now rubbing it into sony lovers faces after over ten years of being put down and degraded on the internet. But now sony lovers are understanding what fans of nintendo was feelin back ten years ago. so what ive noticed mostly on here is teh majority of times its not teh nintendo fan "rubbing" it in the face of so ny lovers but actualy sony lovers putting down the wii and teh nintendo fan defending the console.

All in all before you start going off on others and such people need to learn their videogame history and how much each console was launched at, and dont go by what the console maker says unless you did research and know what they said is true. for example sony stated the ps3 was the highest cost console they ever released. but if youd id your research or have been keepin an eye on consoles for a long time then you know what they said is false. the psone was released back in 1994 at a price of $799 to compete with the sega saturn, 3do and cdi. if youd ont believe me look it up.

WW - very slim chance but probably not.  Others sure unless MS really change how the Others market is going.

A lot will depend on December 2008 and whether PS3 can get momentum in Japan.

Right now 360 looks good for a WW lead at least through end of 2009 although this will mostly be driven out of US based on current trends.

The easiest way (theoretically) for Sony to catch up quick is to get sales going in Japan.  360 has no real chance of taking of there IMHO no matter how many jRPGs MS buy up while PS3 could if Sony can get the right games, content, price and marketing in place.  Note I said theoretically though - I suspect its easier said than done.

Don't kid yourself....I was there during those generations....and there were definitely fanboys.

Yeah me and my cousins had some solid arguments back in the day over Genesis/SNES so let's not pretend that the PS was what brought about fanboys.

I think part of it is that gaming isn't cheap so many people only have 1 system. Add on top of that the fact that many gamers start gaming under the age of 18 and you get petty immature bickering. The only problem is there are some idiots who get to 30 and keep arguing.

Um... no. Just no. If anything, the Nintendo/Sega wars in the days of the Genesis were even more bitter than the current console wars.
