Forums - Gaming - What film would you like to see turned into a video game and why?

More then a video game buff, I am a film buff and I would love to see certain films taking the video game conversion (considering they are done well).

here are my top 10:

1) the goonies - monkey island style adventure game with multiple characters to play with in various sections

2) never ending story - zelda style rpg

3) Sin city - killer 7 / snatcher mix game

4) Zaitochi- yakuza style game

5) Once upon a time in china series- jade empire style

6) Beverly Hills Cop- gears of war style with some driving sections and the awesome theme from the film

7) Big Trouble in Little China- 3rd person action adventure style

8) Desperado series- PoP style with guns and lots of them...and a guitar... and salma hayek :p

9) Battle Royal- Online Multiplayer with a small island and lots of peeps online to explore the island and kill!

10) Starship Troopers- FPS

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I personally don't think it would work too well, but it could be done I guess. I think you would have to exclude too many things from the film in order to make a game work with it.

Anyway, I never gave this much thought really, but off the top of my head:

1) Men in Black I/II - I think this could make for a really good game actually, where you are given a goal headquarters by headquarters and can achieve it in any way you like. "Find *x* and bring him back to HQ. *insert reason for aforementioned goal*"

2) Johnny English - Here you could play the game with "Johnny-vision", meaning that you get some objectives. "Land on the roof of the building" and you get out with your parachute, land on the building, and it turns out it's the wrong building. "Get to the top of the cliff" and the pipe gets marked as the obvious way up, the way Johnny sees it. This could then turn out to be much more challenging than taking the nearby ladder, including having shit dropped in your head :P

I could probably get more, but I can't be assed right now.

@Faxanadu:

Kill Bill has already been turned into a game... It's called Ninja Gaiden ;)

OK, not really, in fact the story/characters have nothing to do with Kill Bill's, but the combat is just as fast and visceral ;)

I really can't think of a movie at the movie that hasn't already been made into a game. And every movie i think of that hasn't been turned into a game, i don't find very appropriate for a video game.

How about just ask 'What film would you like to see turned into a GOOD video game and why?
