That is true, but then you don't have to worry about having to constantly upgrading your machine for next few years in order to play the latest game. That's the whole point of having a console.

 

BTW, SSJ, if you can put together a machine that will run Crysis. send me a video of that new machine with Crysis running, because I have 500 dollars sitting at home I don't mind paying for it.

The whole point of a console is accessability yes, but PC gamers usually only upgrade once their GPU+RAM after 2-3 years and nothing else. PC gaming is not as much of a hassle as some people think, and it's cheaper.

well, that''s the whole point. Yes, it is cheaper by 10-20 bucks per game, but you have to constantly upgrade GPU + RAM, not to mention motherboard and other components over the course of the life-span. For someone who isn't super computer savvy (which is 95% of all people), it became too much a hassle.

 

That is why people like myself, even though I can't stand FPS games with controller, moved to console in the first place.

Well according to wikipedia crysis has sold in excess of 1.5 million copies, so there seems to be a lot of people with said expensive machines (not that you need one that costs that much anyway).

it's SHIPPED 1.5 million copies, I believe they shipped tons free with purpose of certain video card.

But that number really shy if you compare it with other AAA games in each platform.

Who cares if its shipped. Its still sold 1 million. Not a bad number for a game that had a horrible opening and demanding system requirements. Even if it hasn't sold that much yet it will.

1 million?? comparing to games on Console?? you are looking at 10 million that GTAIV will likely to pull in in the same period of time.

 

And you ask yourself, how well will Crysis sell on a console? Is the high requirement holding the game back that much? let's not kid ourself, UTIII sold as much as Crysis and it's not nearly as beautiful a game.

Crysis wouldn't have sold 10 million on any platform. Its selling better then farcry did, which is relevant. UT3 on the ps3 sold LESS then it did on the PC. Crysis would have sold less aswell.
